If you still have this match please go back and listen to it. It had to be the worst announced match of all time (yes worse then anything Tony Schovine could ever do).........The Taz carried the whole match as I honestly though Adamile left to go to the bathroom during the match.......He was silent throughout the ENTIRE match and only spoke like two or three of the most basic generic lines of all time........Honestly I don't think I have ever heard a broadcast match with more noise coming from the wrestlers then the announcing crew (The Taz can only do so much)..

Oh I'm sorry that I haven't drank the Punk cool aid. Maybe he's impress me more if he actually had one decent real feud in WWE. The closest thing he had was with Burke and Morrison but that didn't feel special or important at all and his feud with Chavo was terrible and should have lead to him feuding with Edge but instead he's feuding with black hole of charisma, Chuck Palumbo. So explain to me why Punk is so special. |

You're obviously forgetting Punk books his own feuds, decides how much screen time and mic tiem he gets, writes all the scripted spots in the matches and the finishes all by himself. It' entirely his fault. And that he's the first wrestler to ever take someone elses moves and style.

The average WWE fan has no idea who KENTA is. Stone Cold took his gimmick from the Sandman and his finisher from Mikey Whipwreck, and he got pretty far. Punk can do what he wants, and its working since hes so damn over. That applies to him not having and "real" feuds either. He's had a few, just not anything major because he's on the C show. NOBODY in ECW has had a huge feud because the brand isn't treated as anything speical. Besides, the criticism of him not having any feuds is irrelelvant, since he's gotten over just fine without it.

Perhaps, but as said numerous times when this comes up, the only people that know that are smarks, so it doesn't really matter to the majority. Besides, everyone rips off everyone in wrestling, not the first time and won't be the last. Everyone from Foley to Orton and everyone in between. |
