Let me get this straight. WWE turns booker t into king booker which was a horrible idea. So bad that it basically made him leave the wwe. He comes to tna as booker t. and then....THEY TURN HIM BACK INTO KING BOOKER?
How much weed do you need to smoke to think this is a good idea?

King Booker revitalized his career. He was stale as s*** in WWE for several years before the King Booker gimmick.

Yeah, King Booker was a great heel character, even the little I saw of him.
They're having him show that part of his character without going full bore, with the robe/crown and whatnot.

Lack of push, frustration with hovering in the upper midcard, HHH, those are all things that factored into it.

King Booker was the height of his wrestling career, popularity, push, and prominence wise. He was THE HEEL in WWE for an entire year.

Rodney, I'm not sure if we're able to change your mind, but you are one of the few people who didn't care for that character.

This has got to be the weakest reason to quit watching TNA ever. Especially considering it's 100% not true. Why don't you pick one of the dozens of valid reasons to quit watching?

I have to say this: Turning Booker T into King Booker again with such miniscule reasons makes about as much sense convincing a bookie that the Chicago Cubs are going to win this year's World Series.

Didn't Sharmell actually come up with the King Booker character, not WWE creative? Or am I imagining that? Either way, like others have said ... the gimmick wasn't why he left WWE.

I seem to remember it as being frustrated because WWE didn't stand up for him when his name got released in that Pharmaceutical(SP?) List that caused him to get suspended.

I seem to remember it as being frustrated because WWE didn't stand up for him when his name got released in that Pharmaceutical(SP?) List that caused him to get suspended. That combined with jobbing to Hunter at SummerSlam in like 8 minutes pissed him off and led him to quitting and eventually being released.

Booker is an interesting case, because he probably deserves better than the push he got from WWE, but at the same time it's not like he's a technical wrestling great. His push as King Booker in WWE is probably about the best he's ever going to get.
