Getting home from church one Sunday and my Dad turning wrestling on to a Hulk Hogan vs. Bob Orton match. (Pretty sure it was a match but there's always the chance Orton was just interfering.) I know it's my earliest wrestling memory because I didn't like it and I remember whining and bothering my Dad to turn the channel. The rest of my wrestling memories I'm a fan.

Aside for Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling?
SNME: Hogan/Orndorff in the cage. Awesome match and hooked me but good.

My earliest that I can think of is Hogan vs Nikola Volcaf ( i know it is spelled wrong). The whole Saturday early morning cartoon with Hogan vs Piper, Shiek and that shit.

British Bulldog (Or was it Lex Luger?) putting someone in the Torture rack after after the match ended and the show closing out to that.

WWF - I remember Quake coming out in a brown singlet and squashing Hogan leading to Warrior saving him.
WCW/NWA - I remember Captain Mike Rotundo getting squashed by Kevin Sullivan and Bam Bam Bigelow and some time later, a saturday night show with The Steiners vs The Midnight Express and Sting was feuding with Larry Zybysco

dad was channel surfing one Saturday morning and called me into the room to show me what was on:
Highlights from the previous Sunday's PPV - King of the Ring '98 - Hell in a Cell Match - Undertaker vs. Mankind.
I've been hooked ever since. Something about seeing someone tossed off a cell, through a cell roof, and into thumbtacks just got me.

American wrestling-wise: Earthquake sitting on Hulk Hogan on the Brother Love Show. Otherwise: Giant Haystacks vs. Big Daddy numerous times on an English wrestling show.

Hulk Hogan being locked in some cage.
I believe Kamala was involved somehow. Not vivid.
I thought the "It's not hot video" was going to be it. Hilarious, but not my first memory. SO I'm stuck with the vague.

I'm not sure exactly. I had Bret Hart and Nasty Boys wrestling figures when I was little, but don't remember watching a lot of wrestling. The first PPV I remember seeing on tape is Saint Valentines Day Massacre. I started watching a bit around then but I didn't watch my first live PPV until Armageddon 1999 when I was 11.

While I do not remember it, apparently wrestling was in fact my first word. My dad has always been a wrestling fan, and he used to hold me in his lap while he watched it on Saturdays. And even as an infant, he used to put his hand on my head and say "Brainclaw, grrrr!" And according to him, one day I crawled onto his lap, put my little hand on his forehead, and said something to the effect of "Bak-aw!" The meaning was clear enough, and he still breaks into hysterics when he thinks about it. My mother, however, is less forgiving.

I remember having Hulk Hogan, Legion of Doom and Jake the Snake action figures as a child, and knowing who they all were and what their finishers were, but I don't remember watching any wrestling at this point. I remember having a sticker album with the British Bulldog in it as well, and my uncle had a WWF gym bag with Hogan, Warrior and Savage on it. My first memory of seeing wrestling was someone getting the tar pounded out of them until they bled, and as a very squeamish child, I screamed until it got turned off. I didn't watch for years after that.

Hulk Hogans rock n wrestling on CBS was my first exposure. Though i wasnt a fan of the actual wrestling until 1989/90 i knew the names of most of the guys since i was a loyal mad/cracked fan at the time as well and they did several wrestling articles (mort drucker in paticular used to slip drawings of wrestlers in his movie/tv show satires). I became a fan because, of all things, the wrestlemania NES game.
