Months? Them just trading the belt back and forth as baby faces would get BORING...wrestling angles NEED some kind of drama, if you're going to make it last MONTHS... The drama would be them one upping each other. I wouldn`t have the pedigree or the FU used once for the first 4 months of it, you have them beat each other cleanly with other moves, outworking each other, each trying to prove they are the better wrestler. They could go intense or funny depending on the results and who was on top in the feud. Not one gimmick match either, they tag together on Raw, they respect each other, PPVs run by, until on really tense match where Triple H breaks out the pedigree and puts Cena away. Cena goes intense the next night on Raw and says he will try even harder to beat him. He loses a few tag matches on Raw to the pedigree, building up to the PPV where the FU comes out and he beats Triple H for the title with that. Then you have a couple of months of "who has the more powerful finisher" before it moves into them kicking out of each others finishing moves, so neither one is proven to be better. Finally it builds up and you have a last man standing match, or an ironman match to finish it where Cena goes over. In the mean time, you have plenty of opportunities to build other guys to come in and main event. To me that would be compelling television. Looks interesting on paper, but I wouldn't be surprised if this got crapped on for just having HHH and Cena involved in it, regardless of how many kinds of awesome it could possibly be.

I surprisingly do want him back for the pure reason that HHH looks completely wrong with the spinner belt. Every time I look at it I think of Cena, or even Orton. I just don't think Trips suits it.
He should get a great reaction at Judgement Day, I'm looking forward to his match with Naked Midian...I mean JBL.

The thing I didn't like Cena's title reign was that there seemingly wasn't any long term feuds. Each month or two it would be a different guy, and then he'd move on again.
They seem to be doing it differently now though, building rivalries all over the place. HHH has Orton to contend with, while he is also starting to build up something with Regal. Kennedy also is building something up with Regal. Jericho and HBK are having a match but Batista still has unfinished business with HBK. Then you have JBL and Cena with JBL saying he wants the title.
Basically, everyone is more connected, instead of Cena and whoever his opponent is in a certain month being isolated with no long term view. The way they are now it means all feuds seem more meaningful.
I like Cena, and wanted him to keep on winning, but I didn't like the way he was always isolated with whoever he was facing at the next PPV. That meant that after that feud was over, they both had to build up new feuds in a month, then again, and again. He hadn't had really big rivals since HHH and Edge. After that, it was a monthly cycle.

Finally, The Peoples Elbow is back! Anyhow, I just wanted to say that it's great to see Cena away from the title scene for the time being. He's wrestling on the upper-midcard for Judgment Day and I think that's where he should stay for a while. Hell, if I had my wish, he'd be sent back to Smackdown, but there's probably be a better chance of me winning the lottery. Any thoughts, comments? I respecrfully agree. I'm glad there isn't a mandatory Cena main event every week on Raw and at PPV's.

Maybe if Cena wins the title again he'll (SWERVE!) change it back to a normal belt.

Maybe if Cena wins the title again he'll (SWERVE!) change it back to a normal belt. I love the spinner, but this would be awesome. Just because even if the belt was the most traditional looking belt in the history of pro wrestling the IWCena-haters would still crap all over it. Hell, they'd probably ask for someone to bring back the spinner.

You and I have very different views on compelling television, sir... I second this man's opinion. Having Cena go over on anyone more than once at this stage in the game would be pointless.

I don't mind Cena, but I DO mind Triple H honestly...oh well.
I just think its more interesting when the heel champ is being chased. I liked Ortons run. But Cena away from the title scene for a little while will be good for him.

I think he needs time away from the title for the fans to care about him as a character again, rather than as just a guy stapled to a belt. That's a great way to put it and I agree. Basically anything that gets him to start rapping again is okay in my book. I miss those freestyles.
