After reading the post on tagged classics, i decided to check out some old in your house vids. I found one of my favourite clips from In your house 19: Degeneration X Heres a clip: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZX8lbuxrMYWhat really pissed me off about the main event of HBK vs Ken Shamrock match first was that the run in at the end to cause the DQ was a classic example of what was wrong in the attitude era. EVERY match seemed to have run ins or ref bumps or something bullcrap happening. BTW, go to 5:13 for a great replay angle of the bump! The second thing that pissed me off was about two minutes after the big table bump HBK took from Owen Hart (it was one of the best table bumps at the time by the way, and could still stand up today) HBK was up and posing like nothing happened. Way to build heat for the upcoming fued HBK. The PPV SHOULD have ended with HBK writhing in pain on the ground, not posing in the ring with the belt. I am firmly on the Hart bandwagon, being a Canadian i always have been, but things like this just confirm once again to me that HBK was a dick. and...like Bret, I dont beleive in HBK's hoiler-than-thou schtick either, a tiger doesnt change their stripes, and doushebags dont reform after finding G*d.

There is nothing that HBK could do to make me dislike him.
He is the best ever, it is as simple as that.

The things I hate about HBK are his super oversells where he'll like do a front flip after taking a punch.
I hate that little frontflip/roll up the turnbuckle he and Flair do when they are thrown into the corner.
I hate the skin the cat.
I like my wrestling to look believable.

I am 100% in agreement with Bald Bull, I like my wrestling to look believable. Its one thing to be a great entertainer, its another to look like a freakin circus act.
Saying this, I like crusierweight wrestling too, but hate spoty matches. Call me crazy, but I like psychology, and HBK does not have great psychology. Flair? Flair is MISTER anti-psychology.
HBK and the clic f***ed wrestling up for years, and the effects are still being felt.

it annoys me the hate for Shawn Michaels. sure he no sold in the late 90's for somethings but ever since his return he's been the best seller in the business. and i don't want to be stereotypical or racist or whatever but it's mostly Canadians who hate him, and we all know why that is. get over it people. and I agree with Rainbow Warrior HBK is one of if not THE best in the business
rant over.

Whatever And the run-ins weren't Shawn's fault, this was the Russo era in the WWF.

I dont agree that Shawn isnt good, he just isnt the best in the sport, not even in the top ten in my "opinion". His best matches were against opponents who took him outside of his box, like mankind, bret, austin or against his own clic members a la scott hall, diesel, triple h and so on.
Im just sayin, if he didnt like the guy, it didnt matter if was talented or not, he wasnt putting him over, that makes him a douchebag in my opinion.

I think Shawn's ego and backstage politics was probablly at its zenith around the time of the INY: DX PPV. Little did Shawn know that he was a month away from taking a bump that would lead him to miss about four years of action.

I guess it's that time of the week again. I'm no Michaels fan, to be honest, but I do recognize his talent. I don't see him as "the best ever", but I'm not going to slam him for doing, at least in the clip shown, the exact same "champion retains his title" selling we always see, whcih is "sell whatever until they announce you as still being champ, then pose and show no injury". He's not the first, nor will he be the last, to do so.

I also don't see where all of the HBK hate comes from. He's a hell of a wrestler and ever since his return in 2002, has done nothing but entertain in most all of his matches. He hardly has an 'off' night, and it's always fun watching his matches. Is he the..... GOAT.... *shudders*...? I don't know. But he is one of the best to go out there and put on a hell of a show and that's all that should matter.

HBK is the greatest in ring performer. As far as wrestling ability, no one is even close.

EVERY match seemed to have run ins or ref bumps or something bullcrap happening. where have you been?? in WWE every match STILL ends with a dq or run-in. Its been that way since the attitude era. The only difference now is EVERY main event match is a triple threat

HBK is a great in-ring performer, but the best ever? Nah. He was great in the ring and a giant dick outside of it.

I am firmly on the Hart bandwagon, being a Canadian i always have been. This attitude always annoys the crap about of me, frankly. agreed. I'm Canadian and i prefer HBK over Hart. HBK is pretty much my favourite wrestler... sure he did some stuff in the past... but honestly? your holding a grudge about something that happened over 10 years ago... can i ask you something? how long did it take you to find that clip? and what was the point besides to show it to everyone and bash HBK? its your opinion and thats all well and good... but why can't you get over it when it happened 10 years ago? i'm not trying to be mean or anything... i really want to know... its been 10 years, you don't know either of these people personally... why does it effect you so much? also can people please stop generalizing Canadians as Hart lovers and saying its only canadians who can't get over the Screwjob... because i find that a little offensive... while it may seem that way... i doubt were the only ones and i must say that i am canadian and over it... so i'd like the generalizing to stop. anyways rant over... just wanted to say that
