5/27 FCW RESULTS
by Mike Dennehy @ 5:08 PM on 5/28/2008
Overall, the crowd was a little smaller than usual but the crowd was more into it. Everyone put on a great show and the talent looks pretty good. It was a lot of fun to attend and I would recommend to anyone. The results are in reverse order of the show.
*MAIN EVENT*
* FLORIDA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP*
11. Charles Evans & Vic Adams (Challengers) VS. ‘The Empire' Drew McIntyre & Stu Sanders (Champions)
McIntyre won with his version of the Mic-check/reverse Russian Leg Sweep/Flatliner. The Empire got a lot of heel heat and were very animated with the crowd. It was a good tag match.
_______________________________________________________________________
* FLORIDA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP*
10. ‘Campus Legend' Brad Allen (Challenger) VS. Jake Hager (Challenger)
Hager won with his version of the tilt-a-whirl slam. Great match with a lot of action.
________________________________________________________________________
*GRUDGE MATCH*
9. Tyrone Jones VS. Afa
Match ended with a Double DQ after they spilled out into the crowd and would not listen to the Ref’s telling them to break things off and stop using closed fists.
_______________________________________________________________________
*DIVAS*
8. Roucka VS. Nicole Bella *Special Referee, Taryn Terrell*
Roucka won because Taryn would not count. Taryn played the heel ref on Nicole. Decent action with Roucka winning via a quick count by the ref. Afterwards, Nicole’s twin ran in for the save from the two heels.
________________________________________________________________________
7. Shawn Spears VS. TJ Wilson
Spears won with his version of the “Rude Awakening”/Neckbreaker. Fun match to watch. A lot of “Britney” chants as Spears is the heel.
________________________________________________________________________
6. ‘Ass Kicker' Jay Bradley & Mondo VS. Eric Perez & Eddie Colon w/ Miss Angela
Bradley lost to a combo Side Suplex (Eric Perez) and Neckbreaker (Eddie Colon). Good match. Miss Angela got involved to distract but ran out when Bradley went after her. Mondo and Bradley are over as funny heels.
________________________________________________________________________
5. Sinn Bowdee VS. Matt Sydal
Good and stiff match. Bowdee won with a Double Arm DDT type move. Sydal sold the move and may have hurt his head.
________________________________________________________________________
4. ‘Handsome' Heath Miller & ‘ Sterling ' Jack Gabriel VS. Lupe Martinez & Greg Jackson
Gabriel won with a unique move that looked like “Stunner” except instead of using the shoulder, Gabriel used his vote to “Stun”.
________________________________________________________________________
3. Kevin Kiley VS. Black Pain w/ Bryan Kelly
Black Pain won with Side Slam. Black Pain was a monster in this.
________________________________________________________________________
2. Andrew Vein & Kafu VS. Colt Cabana & Atlas Dabone
Atlas won after rollup after Kafu and Vein fought with each other.
________________________________________________________________________
1. Mike Kruel VS. Mr. Yamamoto
Kruel won via slingshot suplex. Good match. Mr. Yamamoto was very over with the small crowd. Great worker to see in person.
