I liked the Hip Hop Hippo gimmick. It gave Albert another dimension to his character for a while. They really failed to capitalise on his heel turn against Scotty though, it could have turned him into a better mid card heel.
All worked out for the best now though, Giant Bernard kicks some serious Japanese keister! ;D

Fan 2: (whispering) Dude, everybody beats up Scotty. Fan 1: Oh. (sits quietly)

(sits quietly) He was laying a viscious beat down on Scotty who the kids loved (and who hadn`t been as jobbed out as in recent years) which immediately put him over as a nasty git, and it was Rikishi who ran out for the save, a credible big man opponent for him, who was over big time as a face. Could have gone a long way to establish him if they had done the resulting feud well in my opinion

youtube.com/watch?v=potom8SRcq0^^ There's a link to the right guy's Titan Tron. How did this gimmick even start? Albert was an S&M kind of guy who pierced and tattooed people against their will ... and then he was a generic beast in leather pants with Test ... and then ... he's dancing? Was there a backstory I'm forgetting, or did he just show up as Scotty's partner one day?

I can't quite remember, was it not during the invasion where all the wwe guys were default faces (except x-pac, lol) and Albert and scotty were forced to tag team together for a match, and thus they formed an unlikely duo? I may be completely wrong though

um.....David Flair...rolled? LOL, yeah what was that all about? Also when was David flair actually in the wwe? The titontron is hilarous though, it just shows david flair, then ric flair looking dissapointed, then the same thing repeated.

Well that IS pretty much David Flair's career in a nutshell.

IIRC, Scotty and Albert were/are really good friends in real life (if you can believe it, they became friends because both were avid fans of rollercoasters) so the team was probably put together because of that.
And not long after Albert turned heel on Scotty, he became IC champ for a while. So it paid off. Kinda.

"I got everything I wanted, and I'll never get that baaaaack."

They did a House show in Bangor Maine right before A train and Scotty debuted as a team. Both were schedlued for seperate matches that night, but the card was changed, When it was announced they'd team together everyone was standing around scratching their heads, wondering if someone didn't show up or what the hell they were doing.

And not long after Albert turned heel on Scotty, he became IC champ for a while. So it paid off. Kinda. Actually. Albert won the IC title in 2001.....by beating Kane. I always thought of Albert as a Hardcore champion. Never liked the idea of him as an IC champ.
