Was I the only one who thought ECW was...very lackluster? Outside of the opening contest and Kofi/Shelton, everything else was meh. Is ECW's main event scene going to be monsterpalooza? What's next? Snitsky and Chuck Palumbo go to ECW in the supplemental draft? Jesus, I hope I didn't give them any ideas just now. Last thing anybody wants to see is Snitsky and Mark Henry fighting for a belt at a pay-per-view.

I don't think they're meant to have a juggernaut main event scene like Raw or SD. Basically I'd call it OVW for the world to see.

What's wrong with a different set-ups to matches?
High Flyer vs. High Flyer.
High Flyer vs. Hoss.
Hoss vs. Hoss.
They are just happening to use established wrestlers to try and build the title up a bit more. Henry/Show/Kane are three very recognizable wrestlers.

I know, I'd just hope that they'd put more emphasis on Kofi, Shelton, Hardy, Bourne; and less on Kane, Henry, Show. Show I don't mind. He actually has charisma. Henry is decent in small doses. Kane I am totally and utterly sick of. I was very pissed when he was drafted to Raw. And as the first show after the draft, it did not deliver as much as I had hoped. Mainly with no advancement of the Vince thing.

I quite liked it. I wouldn't expect anything on Vince until RAW.
Oh, I agree about Kane. He is boring as a face.

ECW was originally supposed to be one step above developmental, and that's all it is.

ECW was originally supposed to be one step above developmental, and that's all it is. I don't know, going from a facility with no toilets for the guys, that is understaffed and, has no TV to touring worldwide and making a name for yourself on worldwide TV sounds like a step up to me.

I'm okay with what ECW is, I just wish they would change the name or something.

I realy like kingston vs. benjamin.
And i'm a henry mark so it's always good to see him on tv. Its not going to be as built up as smackdown or raw, you just have to take it for what it is.

I thought it was OK. Having Punk and Kane both on the show made the draft seem pointless though.

ECW needs a makeover. The land of extreme is no longer extreme. Get young talent. Hardcore is ok, but it was a fad. Diversify, namely go ROH. Cruiserweights and Lucha Libre are the 90"s and they been replaced by TNA's X Division. WWE needs to step up in that department. Here's my solution: ECW (World?) Title: Should have a title, but World it isn't right now. needs some work. Cruiserweight Title: Rename it. TNA rules in this division. Must find 2000" high flyers, not live off of the 1990's. ECW Tag Titles: Estabish tag team division: Sharing Titles with Smackdown was fine, but Morrison and Miz showed ECW have the talent. Give them ECW tag Title and some competition. My wish is to raid TNA for LAX and bring back AMW. Depth: I like to increase the depth by not using Kane, Henry and Hardy. I recruit from the indies and raid the NWA. Vision: ECW vs. TNA war. May not be WWF vs. WCW, but competition would be good. Especially if I could lure Styles, Daniels and Joe.
It may not be the earlier version of ECW, but my ECW would give the fans what they wanted: a great show with guys giving it their all and that was the true spirit of ECW.

I thought it was OK. Having Punk and Kane both on the show made the draft seem pointless though. Look if they're there next week it's pointless, otherwise I think we're being a bit too anal about it. Impossible. There is no more competition, and there never was, just a bunch of jobber teams apparently. Nobody the crowd was really behind or anything. My sarcasm is so thick I could use it on pancakes.

Things is, back when ECW was first on and popular they had majorly over guys in Angle and RVD plus a bunch of actual ECW guys. Heyman was there. The show had an identity.
Now it is just a rotation of smackdown-midcarders rotating through to pass as the uppercard of ECW. It is just a joke. The show has no identitity now.
I'd rather if they just left ECW separate with their own longterm cast relatively free of smackdown castoffs, developing and building-up their own guys.
It is painfully obvious that Lashley, Kane, Chavo, etc have done nothing but bring ratings down. Why not try a different approach? It couldn't do worse.

Kane needs to stay on ECW. There's absolutely nothing for him to do on Raw except bore me to tears in midcard feuds. At least he adds something to ECW. They need all the credible guys they can get. And I totally agree that they need to stop having talent exchanges with the other brand. ECW guys need to remain ECW guys, though I don't mind the floating tag title they share with Smackdown.

Ya cause ECW is going to do so well with the talented Colin Delany, and having Shelton vs Kofi week 4834834. Talent exchange is needed.

It's ECW. That's how they role. At least there's no more Extreme Diva B.S.
I'd better not say that too loud.
And their champion isn't even on their show anymore.
No, that's not lame. Right?
