He was...but he still represents what ECW is about. He was 'built up' on ECW after being a jobber on Raw, so he could then return reinvented as a star. Morrison still shows the worth of ECW. I still see him as a jobber as I couldn't see him vying for the World title on Raw or SD no matter how many WWe.com segments he does with Miz. THANK you. And on another note I don't think we can call it a gimmick change. All he did was change his last name. At the end of the day he's still a materialistic hollywood prettyboy with flippy moves, questionable fashion, and bad catchphrases. Not necessarily agreeing with the jobber part, but I really don't see where everyone's getting the "next HBK" vibe from him at this point.

I don't see him as a jobber but I don't currently see him as a world title contender either. With another ECW title run I could see him going to another show after that and having a Matt Hardy top spot, with the potential to move up. Point is, he left a big show as a jobber, but will return as a viable upper mid card act I would say.

I was thinking this last night. Not just Punk but, Kofi, Morrison, Miz, Big Daddy V and even Big Show were made/reborn thanks to ECW. From a strictly creative stand point, this has been a major success for WWE.
