You're all missing the best possible outcome, every week Santino tries to take over but he fails in a variety of hilarious ways. that my friend is awesome!

I like the idea of JBL being the marshall of Raw, gives him time to heal his injured back and he makes a great heel. Plus Punk as champ, Ted Jr and Cody forming 2nd Generation Next, Kofi as IC champ and the pushes of Burchill, London and other guys will make Raw awesome.

Yes someone did post that a few weeks ago and there was some lengthy talk on it. *looks around for WWE hidden cameras* You are the spy! Or a spy! There are no hidden cameras. This is just like a board that I used to go to. WWE kept stealing our ideas, so we finally came to a real, legitimate conclusion. Someone on this Wrestlecrap Forum is actually Stevie Richards.

They finally realized the Authority Figure angle had been run to the ground already by the time Bischoff was brought in?
I'm quite mad at them jobbing Edge to Batista and Punk, but I see how RAW could benefit from a totally changed scenario.
I'd rather had Cena winning at NoC and then dropping the belt on RAW somehow.

If they follow through, it's a good idea. WCW had a few fresh starts in 2000, if I recall correctly, and the problem was always commitment, among the usual problems. In any case, WWE has to be commended for putting it's RAW belts on a group of first time twentysomethings instead of a safer champion.

Nahh a one night title reign is not what they need now. It made a lot more sense for Punk to pull a MITB cheap win on Edge because that is exactly what Edge did. I think Punk VS JBL was just the icing on the cake.

And then by Punk beating JBL, it gives Punk some legitimacy as Champ. I have yet to see the show, but for the first time in a long while I am excited to get home to the DVR!

best raw this year, easily. probably the best raw in alot of years. they should keep it this way, with stuff all happening for a reason, events being linked, and the unexpected happening. this weeks raw had alot of moments that you didn't see coming, but unlike alot of swerves in wrestling, once these things did happen, you went "oh yeah, i should've seen this coming", because it made so much sense. they should keep raw like this for a fair few months, before regal somehow gets back into his position of authority again. that would of course lead to a revolution against him after about a month, and another few months after that of going back to martial raw.

Yeah I think Regal coming back to take over would make the most sense. I doubt it will happen that way though since he was suspended. I don't think they will push him like they were. I would like to see him come back as a non wrestler. Sure he is still good in the ring but he obviously can't keep going without pain killers now.

I think they might've had all this planned for quite some time. Think about it, JBL last night declared martial law, and tried to make a power-grab with his paid security force. That paid security force could've very easily been a "royal guard." And if things had gone that way, what a night for Punk to win the title from Edge, who had screwed him in the past, and then avenge his King of the Ring loss against Regal. Could the original plan have been for King Regal, now without Vince backing him up, to introduce a royal guard in a desperate attempt to hold on to power, while some of the other wrestlers are declaring a revolt?

They should have the entire WWE and anarchy. Mark Henry should give Teddy Long the World's Strongest Slam, thus handicapping him, and Edge should spear Vickie thus injuring her. And all the wrestlers will appear on all shows.

That would have been freakin' AWESOME. It also makes a helluva lot of sense. Regal getting in Punk's face, and considering the fact that he beat Punk clean, making himself the first challenger....while Cena and Cryme Tyme (the revolution?) come to Punk's aid in the title match, and chase away the Guard and Burchill..... Which sets up a Punk (USA) vs. Regal (UK) title match at Great American Bash....with Cena, Cryme Tyme, Burchill, and Taylor as Lumberjacks. Undercard could have also been Cena and Micke vs. Burchill/Katie Lea, and Cryme Tyme taking on DiBiase and Rhodes...... Feel the symbolism!

Didn't someone say in this site we all should have an anarchy storyline on Raw few weeks earlier? (WWE is spying on us) But seriously this is the first time in a long long long time I'm finally excited about watching Raw and Smackdown every week and just can't wait what happens next! Yes someone did post that a few weeks ago and there was some lengthy talk on it. *looks around for WWE hidden cameras* It was me, when I was known as harmon98.

Only if every match takes place inside the THUNDERDOME Can't we just get beyond thunderdome? Yeah really. We don't need another hero.

Raw was very good this week and SmackDown was pretty good last Friday. As soon as Punk won the belt I imagined the amount of threads that would be created here about it.

I love the whole anarchy thing. Keep it up, the GM thing is so damn played out. Just let everyone go out there and kick the hell out of each other whenever they feel like it. Will make Vince's eventual return actually mean something if they let it go long enough and things get crazy as hell.

I missed yesterdays show and am quite disappointed that I seemingly missed the beginning of a new direction. I sat here and read through all four pages of this post, and can honestly say that I'm quite excited to see next weeks show. I've not said that in a good long while.
Is it possible that The E finally realized things need to change. I just hope they don't think there'll be an immediate ratings spike. When they switched from the old Federation to the Attitude stuff I'm sure it took time to gain peoples interest. Hopefully they can stick with whatever it is they're doing now... instead of panicking and reverting back to Super Cena and The Evil Billionaire Vince in two weeks.

i dont mind if punk jobs out..but please not to jbl...he just sucks to me. to be a such a hardass in the ring...throwing hard punches and kicks..he is the first one to cover up his face...jiggle tits I just cant see JBL ever winning the title again. He had that massive run in 04/05 & it was the same damn story. JBL avoids the contender leading up to the PPV, he then uses his cabinet or some other underhanded tactic to win the belt. JBL held the belt so long coz there was no better option. On raw right now there is so many more guys ahead of him that they can put the belt on. Batista, Jericho, HBK, Cena, hell even throw the title on Kane have him go with a monster heel run for a few months.
