Actually, it looks great to me. But then again, I love anything that has to do with mysteries, conspiracy theories, hidden messages, ect... so my judgment is a bit altered. ;D
And honestly, it at least looks like a NEW concept in the ocean of remakes, adaptations and sequels that are getting released nowadays, and that is a breath of fresh air.
Also, this whole "sequence of numbers that predict important events" thing kinda reminds me of the theory of the Bible Code, only without the religious image, of course.

I don't get the universal Nicolas Cage hate. I thought he was great in National Treasure, Con-Air, Face-Off, The Rock, Raising Arizona...and...City of Angels...

I liked that movie better when it was called The Number 23.

Does look almost decent, except for the part that Nic Cage stars, but being directed by Alex Proyas means I'll be seeing it eventually. Anyone who gave us Dark City is pretty rad.

I guess he's one of the current scapegoats. Sometimes it's Emos, sometimes it's Hippies, sometimes it's Goths, sometimes it's Homosexuals, sometimes it's some religious group (they take turns), sometimes it's John Cena, sometimes it's Batista. Which is silly because we all know that the true source of all evil is Jack Thompson.

Upon actually watching the trailer, I think it looks really good. Someone earlier mentioned "The Number 23". I see the parallels, and I feel like this movie could be the redemption for the $6.75 I lost in renting "The Number 23".

Cage just has a tendency to overact.
I enjoyed "Con Air" but his read of "Put thuh bunneh back in thuh bawx" was about as comical as Costner's disappearing/reappearing english accent in Robin Hood:POT.

Cage just has a tendency to overact. Huh? If anything, I always thought he might have a tendency to underact, which was not necessarily a bad thing.

Man this looks like a good movie......if Nick Cage wasn't an actor!!!!!! Why does Hollywood keep giving him movie roles? I am tired of watching him destroy good movie concepts.

Yes. At some point, horrible Nick Cage films became my favorite subgenre of comedy. And I know his films are never intended to be comedies but the man's unique take on acting is a comedy goldmine. Free him of his responsibility to you and laugh.

There really are some snobby film critics here....but anyway, this movie looks pretty good.....Nicolas Cage has made some pretty good movies to boot....and it doesn't hurt that the director of I Robot is the director of this too...
