Is there anyway to change the video output on the PS2? I purchased a set of component cables for it and it still showing that I am only at 480i resolution.

Some PS2 games support progressive scan (480p). But thats about it. But I do beleive with the component cables, you eliminate the lag between video and audio you'd normally get using composite cables on an LCD TV.

To be honest, I don't have any sort of lag when it comes to using composite cables on an LCD TV (does it have anything to do with my TV being a Samsung or not?).
