I know that CM Punk threads are getting to be a bit overdone but thinking about it earlier, he has had a lot of great moments in WWE so far for a person who supposedly has permanent heat on him.
It was a tough choice for me between this past Monday and his debut against Justin Credible but I went with his debut. Besides it being the only time ECW on Sci-Fi was in front of a smark crowd, he had them eating out of his hand to the point where if he debuted in front of a crowd who had no idea who he was, the snowball wouldn't have developed into an avalanche as quickly as it has, if at all. His reception that night made crowds everywhre sit up and take notice of this guy as somebody special, in my opinion. Plus his emotion that night gave me goosebumps for the first time since Eddie-Benoit at WMXX.
His first title (ECW Title) was kinda tainted for me since everybody knew Morrison failed a drug test and had to drop the title before his suspension but not before Punk lost to him like 20 times before. Similar to this is this year's Money in the Bank which was Meth Hardy's until he failed a drug test too.

Hmm...tough to call on this one... for me, it's a tie between his first showing, and at SS when everyone chanted HIS name above his partners...but to nail it down to one...
I'd say his debut, because the crowd has never been the same due to Vince knowing he can't make a decent enough show for smarks...

How can you beat winning the World Championship on WWE's flagship show on live television defeating their top heel? You just don't.
Until you successfully defend against John Cena & Batista anyway ;D

I wanted to vote for the "F***ing Maria" option. I really did.
But, I voted for the world title win. It's a culmination of all the years he's been working hard in the business.
Yea, the ROH Title allows him to say "I'm the greatest wrestler on the planet", but the WHC lets him say "I'm on top of the wrestling world" and the majority will accept it as fact, because for the most part, it is.

When chants for his name drowned out chants for DX at Survivor Series 2006. When you're in the same ring as the Hardys and DX, and you're the one getting the loudest pop, you know you've made it.

Winning the ECW Title was a great moment since he finally was able to beat Morrison after months of losing to him.

I know that this will be an unpopular opinion but while I marked out like crazy for him winning the World Title, Batista did 90% of the work and Edge has beaten Punk clean multiple times in the past as opposed to Punk getting the cheap victory. And all the talk since Punk has won it has been when he's losing it, making him a transitional champion who got the belt for a storyline reason as opposed to being the top guy on the brand. It still was a great moment though and as I said, I marked out like crazy but to me it's not #1.
Also, I'm kicking myself in the ass right now for forgetting to include his performance in King of the Ring a few months ago, beating Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho on the same night.

Definitely the musician thing.
He still doesn't have a freaking character, but that came close.

I love how everyone here is trying to get as much love for Punk as champion out there as possible. And i mean that sincerely. Its nice to see the majority of people on this board excited and happy about something.

If memory serves me correctly, Edge never really got a 100% clean victory over Punk. There was always an interference/distraction by the Edgeheads.

I've still got to say his ECW title win. The match was very good, the feud was booked well, and it's truly memorable. The new title win, I need to give a few months to let it digest, because it could very well turn out to be a flop.

Oh, yeah... forgot that he debut at that "classic" Hamerstein show (the one where the fans chanted "Change the channel" during a main event of Batista vs. Big Show). The crowd was WILD for the guy... Great debut.
Even though the win from Morrison (my pick) was sort of tainted in that Morrison was out, I thought that the moment was just amazing... I got more excited over that than I did over his World Title win...
Honestly, the big reason I don't pick the World Title win is because I was unsure as to the reasoning, and even think that this might devalue the title some...
Punk's been beaten by so many people, but his character is that of a guy who fights from the bottom up and succeeds once in a while.
This make his title win make a bit of sense, but he's the first face (thus far) to have taken a heel route to cash in the MITB. As a face, I think it kind of cheapened the win, as I was sure they weren't going to have him take some chicken poop route to win the title.
I was actually confident that they were going to have him announce a match ( like RVD, the other face winner), and then have him win or not, most likely the latter. I thought that if he were to surprise cash it in, it would be as a heel or something.
But, don't get me wrong, I love this. As is, this could turn into a great thing, but it could also just be another big fumble, given any misstep along the way. I love that they've had the confidence to put the strap on him and if I had the books, I'd put it on him as well.
I'm just not sure how this will pan out.

I've gotta go with Punk outpopping DX and the Hardys at Survivor Series. That was something else.
