sources: Wrestling Observer Newsletter, www.f4wonline.com-- WWE's Raw brand house show in Lima, Peru at the Estadio Nacional drew an estimated 28,000 fans, although they were hoping for 45,000. John Cena reportedly got a "CENA SUCKS!" chant that went on for five straight minutes during his match with Triple H. H beat Cena after an FU and two pedigrees.

Cena is an all round good guy though, I think I would kinda feel bad giving him a barrage of abuse for no other reason than being pushed by the creative team who have no real vision on what was needed at the time!

the reason for his "abuse" is that hes corny as hell and when hes on the mic you kinda just wanna hang your head in shame

Wow, they really hate Cena in Peru. I remember that being the source of that video where the crowd chanted "JOHN CENA SUUUUUUUUUUCKS!" to his entrance music.

I actually can't believe that didn't catch on. If the Cena haters really wanted to get to him, they would have started singing that on his entrance.

I think Cena is good on the mic, I know he is kinda corny but thats because he is being directed at kids, if he was given the allowences that were afforded the guys on a promo back in the day he would be considered top class
he was the guy who said 'wait a cotton picking minute'
Thats pretty close to the cloth for a corny guy

LOL, Cena was exactly what was needed at the time. His booking has been a complete success.

Don't put words into my mouth. ...what can I put into your mouth Seriously, Cena does not deserve the level of abuse he gets. ..nor does he deserve the level of 'OMFG CENA IS THE GREATEST GUY EVER HE'S MY HERO I WANT TO MARRY HIM' either. I just don't get it.

I so hope the WWE doesn't do to Punk (or any potential top babyface for that matter) what they did to Cena. Somebody needs to tell Vince that the hero, overall good guy type character died when Bret Hart shoved Vince on his ass and started swearing at everyone.
I heard Vince wanted to have a black guy be the next all american good guy babyface (like he was gonna do with Bobby Lashley), but for the love of god, I hope he doesn't. You don't want to have another Cena on your hands where everybody hates him.
I know it was said millions of times, but now that you have Punk in that position, why not see if you can turn Cena heel, then turn him back to being a babyface, just to get people cheering him again. Even if it's a 6 month run. I know turn Cena heel has been said a million times, but when you have a 5 minute Cena sucks chant, and Cena is supposed to be your top babyface, something's gotta change.

I had no problem with his push, it was the booking of him as superman that showed the creative team up for there lack of ideas on where to go! Not a slant on Cena though

You think if the WWE actually gave a damn about the crowd booing him and thought it interfered with their plans for their company that they wouldn't have changed something about Cena's character 3 years ago?

Nevermind the fact that he doesn't get booed by anywhere close to "half" of the crowd anywhere outside The Hammerstein Ballroom...or now apparently Central America. He's the most over wrestler on the roster BY FAR.

If John Cena ever saw this thread, he'd go on a 7 minute promo saying how whether you love him, or you hate him, your passion is what inspires him to do what he loves. And what he loves is being a WWE performer. And even though he'll never sit down to Thanksgiving dinner with Randy Orton, or Triple H, or JBL, he's got nothing but respect for their abilities. And he's got the same amount of respect for all of us, whether we love him, or we hate him. Passion. Triple H. Thanksgiving. Poop. Hustle, loyalty, respect.
