So it dawned on me as I was watching The Rocks new DVD on saturday that its not 100% authentic.
I'm not just talking about the WWF logo being blurred of the bleeps for WWF.
During many of his promos they have totally muted the announcers mics. Believe me the commentators actually commentated during the Rocks pauses. I noticed this during the Rocks promo against Kane and his donuts promo in the cops. I mean if you totally want to put the Rock over as a promo King why would you ever want to mute out the announcers commentary and them laughing and making jokes about some of the things he says??
So glad I still have the originals on tape You newer fans have no idea.
Huge dissapointment from this loyal fan on whoever made that call.

The censorship of the initials made me laugh when watching Hogan's latest DVD set...during the hype video for Hogan/Savage at Wrestlemania V, it sounded like Hogan said he wanted to win the "WWE Fampionship."

It was not the WWE it was them and they also had a crap judge decide on law because a right judge would have sent the panda people PACKING because it is a dumb suit, WWE is wrestling not a panda group and its SOOOOOOOO stupid.
Also I hate WWF panda ppl I hope their group goes out of business and WWF return.

If the WWE wasn't so cheap and then unethical, it would never have been an issue.

Well, I called the WWE offices, and this is what they told me in regard to this:
We did it for The Rock. We did it for the people!

i dont get how come u blame WWE for this, WWE didnt wake up one day and say "Hey we are same name as WWF lets go ask them to threaten to sue us".
It was the WWF that did this and each time I see their logo or products I get pissed and want to destroy some endagered animals I think it was a bad mistake by them because now a lot of WWE fans hate them and want them to fail.

The World Wildlife Fund came before the World Wrestling Federation, thus they had a right to sue. 2. There was an agreement between the two WWFs for the World Wrestling Federation not to be called the WWF in America but they were able to do it in Europe. Vince broke this rule so the suit went through and finally, 3. The Fund gave the Fed an oppertunity to settle out of court so that the suit didn't go down and the WWF could still be called the WWF. As we all know by now, Vinnie didn't take the offer so the suit went down and the Fund won.

WOW I totally didn't notice my typo there.
I was also talking about WWE making the call to alter thier footage by muting the announcers not about WWF censorship crap.

Its nonsense I think even though they came before because they are in different fields and its a mistake in the law to do this. Vince shouldnt have paid into them because they would have kept sucking money out of him for money.

When you break something as simple as that, you deserve what you get in terms of money losses.

Speaking of The Rock DVD, why in blue blazes did they censor the nWo music from WrestleMania X8? Doesn't Vince own the rights to that music?

WWE is so terribly lame. But, it kinda helps for me when I try to explain that I was a WWF fan and that the WWE sucks, cause thats about the time it started to go downhill.

On the topic of the lawsuit I never knew he had a chance to keep the name. The WWF were more than fair to him, yet he couldn't swallow his pride.

Why? The WWE does this all the time with indy feds and tv shows. Sounds like Karma to me.

1. nWo's music was not actually owned by WCW, it was licensed from elsewhere 2. eJm, ya had the right story, but alittle backwards. WWFund is actually European (England I believe) based, and it was over in Europe where WWFed. was supposed to be marketed only as World Wrestling Federation, and never WWF. The initials were fine to use in America. And to add a little more, the biggest catalyst for causing the lawsuit was www.wwf.com because it was international webpage, and thus in direct violation of the original agreement
