A friend of mine has a dreamcast he is looking to get rid of, the thing is all he has is the system and a controller. He is asking $30.00 for it. I guess my question is, is this a good deal and how hard will it be for me to find games for it?

The games aren't the best thing about the system. What you can do with it, the roms you can get, are what make it such a great system to have.

Yeah, as soon as I can throw $60 in, I'm going to buy the Dreamcast from my church. I only gotta find a store that still sells Dreamcast games and that memory card...

$30 is a great price. Buy it immediately and don't think twice.

Eh, most the good DC games you can buy on current gen consoles now-a-days.
House of the Dead - Wii Shenmue II - Xbox Jet Grind Radio - Sequel on Xbox Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 - PS2/Gamecube Ikaruga - 360

$30 is what they were going for at EB a few years ago, so yeah I'd say that's a reasonable price. I was gonna pick one up around Christmas as they had a deal at the time where you got a free game $7.99 or less, but they were out systems. Games aren't the easiest to come by, but are hardly impossible. Well, I guess that depends a lot on your area. I got my friend the one Resident Evil at a Goodwill for $2, as he had leant his copy to a friend of ours senior year and never got it back or saw the kid again. I borrowed a friend's and a bunch of games whe he got his PS2. Had a blast playing Crazy Taxi and especially Crazy Taxi 2. The Tony Hawk games on it are a blast too. I have them all on 64, but the DC blows them and the PSOne away, imo. Oh, and Ready 2 Rumble is great as well. Speaking of which, I really hope the new Ready 2 Rumble gets made... AKI is supposed to take it over... *drools*

Well, I was looking on amazon and they are still selling DC games fairly cheap, so yeah, I think this is something I will def. be doing.

I'm gay for the Sega Dreamcast. I would make love to it if it had a proper port. I still buy things for it when I find something that appeals to me. (although that can be a lot of effort)

(although that can be a lot of effort) Did you ever get the fishing rod controller? Using that thing for Sega Marine Fishing and Sega Bass Fishing 2 was more fun than I should've had for any fishing game.

I remember getting one for my Birthday years ago when I asked for a Playstation 1. Best mistake ever! And for $30? You should totally buy it.
