That was completely awesome. I never saw that coming at all to be honest, and like, wow. I popped like crazy for that right here.
Congrats to CM Punk, the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Can't wait until the backstage promo where Punk starts telling the story about the old man and the snake.

Giving Edge a dose of his own medicine? Sure, but...when did Edge steal anything from Punk? ECW Title and most of the rematches?

Perhaps they've decided to try and up the ratings by...*gasp*....doing shocking things and creating new stars?
I'd imagine his first feud (if he makes it out of tonight) would be with JBL or Jericho. The promos alone on either one would make that a good one.

This can't be right, WWE has to bury all indy guys who aren't giant muscleheads.

Years, I mean years since I marked that hard and Ive only been a Punk fan since he showed up in the WWE. Never really saw anything he did before the WWE, always just heard through the internet. I really hope he gets a fair run.
edit: ok I did mark hard during the Ric Flair farewell Raw when the Horseman showed up but thats about it besides the Puk WHC win

To each his own I thought it was great that he was giving Edge a dose of his own medicine. That's all well and good, but why would a face "exact revenge" for something he wasn't a part of? Giving Edge a dose of his own medicine? Sure, but...when did Edge steal anything from Punk? To answer your question, he never did. It wasn't revenge, he was just making Edge experience what he's done to others. He even told Edge this on SD a few weeks back that he would do that to him when he least expected it. If you didn't like it, that's fine, but I thought it was great.

Crap. Crap crap crap. The ROHbots are creaming themselves, but the rest of us? Punk is a good choice for Champion, yes. However, I thought his whole gimmick was "I thrive on competition." Not only that, why would a babyface take the smarmy, heel, chicken poo way out? Bad booking. Really, really bad booking. well, he DID tell Edge he was gonna cash in against him. Hell, when Edge said nobody on Raw would get a shot at him, I thought Punk would come out right away, but this was cool as well.

Again, I'm not upset at the CHOICE of champion. Just the booking of said champion. I would rather Punk beat Edge in a well fought, hard contested match.

But instead we get crap booking.

What I loved most about that was I, and other people were baited to expect something to happen at Edge's wedding with Punk, and then, boom, right out of the blue, Punk cashes in Money in the Bank.
Definitely one of the best, if not the best moment of the year.

Agreed, but the babyface shouldn't take the heel way out, especially when his whole character is built around how much he likes competition and doens't ever want to take the easy way out.

Giving Edge a dose of his own medicine? Sure, but...when did Edge steal anything from Punk? ECW Title and most of the rematches? Exactly. Punk got revenge on everything Edge did to him in one fell swoop. Reap the whirlwind. In this case the whirlwind being a knee to the face.
