anyone rember this? I think it was cool how they had imposter kane ( Festus to me and you) coem out to the old Kane theme and have him act like the old kane (tilting his head etc.)
Everyone says its crap but i liked it.

I didn't mind the storyline...I mean, I think that it really had potential.

The debut of Imposter Kane was absolutely terrible. When he first came out, I thought he was a midget, then I noticed the proposterous hair, and the ridiculous nature of what I was watching. Not a good start to the angle.
It got slightly better in the next few weeks, in that they finally sorted the look of the imposter Kane. But we still had no idea what was going on, save for a wierd promo by Kane that revealed nothing. Then, that match that you linked, was absolutely terrible. To me it just served as a reminder that the only guy who can pull the kane character off is Glen Jacobs.
The angle had potential, and I'd like to know where it was headed, but the execution was abysmal.

Done terribly, sure, but they should never have axed it liked they did. All that does in confuse some and enrage others. Finish what you started, writers!

Best of all, the imposter went over clean on the PPV.
complete silence when he won too, it was like when Shelton beat Matt Hardy recently. No response, then people in the crowd start looking around aimlessly for something better to do. =P

this match was a case of the epic WTF's.
reminded me of DiBiase's Taker vs. Paul Bearer's... which was only halfway decent even back in the "Next Generation" era.

reminded me of DiBiase's Taker vs. Paul Bearer's... which was only halfway decent even back in the "Next Generation" era. It was basically just a half assed rehash of Undertaker VS Undertaker back in 1994. WWF creative never learn either as the fans were not;'t into the storyline first time around either but at least they had a reason to bring in another Undertaker and had a storyline to go. Undertakr had been gone for quite sometime they get someone in who looks like him by Ted Debaise who states he bought The Undertaker. Remember it was Ted Debaise who introduced Undertaker to his first Survivor Series as a member of Debaises team. That storyline evolved from there. Kan VS Kane seemed only t6o be done as they had no ideas for Kane so recycled that storyline with no storyline to go with it. Just makes it hell of a confusing for the fans.

The problem with it was how terrible the fake kane was. The wig, the ill-fitted mask, the belly...etc
They'd have been better off putting Undertaker in the Kane suit and have him play the imposter Kane. Really.

Ok we get the point Azzor !this kane vs Kane thing was pretty poor and basically just another version of taker vs taker.

You can tell these guys were really, really trying, but the fans chanting "BORING" were really getting to them.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was Taker vs Taker and that didn't go well either. I guess Vince did not recall a Taker vs Taker feud. BTW what were the fans saying at 7:06?

I didn't find it that horrible... I think it had potential, and despite the not-so-stellar match, they should have kept the storyline going. But this comes from someone who enjoyed the Undertaker v Underfaker angle...
