Some wrestling magazines are expressing annoyance and even anger over the whole "Hornswoggle/McMahon" storyline being dropped right in the middle of things....
Now I can easily understand why they are angry/annoyed----but then again, on the OTHER hand.......WWE is well known for taking certain storylines and basically putting them on "pause" for a year--sometimes two years--and then bringing it back. Look at the whole storyline with Vince putting Steph up on the Taker's "symbol".....the storyline ended up getting put on the back burner for how long? wasn't it about a year until they brought that whole storyline back as the reason she turned on him by getting hitched to HHH?
And what about the whole Stonecold/McMahon feud?
It's gone on and off for several years.
2008 is only half-over so in my opinion I figure there is still enough time to wrap the whole "Hornswoggle is Vince's son--but he isn't"
Oh yeah--it's just my personal opinion but I am thinking that if it ever does get answered that the "McMahon who conspired with Finlay" will likely turn out to be his daughter........but then I don't get tv so it may have already been answered so.......

nah, i think this was something even the WWE thought was getting too retarded, and put the stops to it as soon as possible.

These very same people would be annoyed if it had continued.

I was hoping he would turn into a Mini-Mcmahon and be a heel. I think they dropped it too soon

I think what happened was in some complete paradigm shift of reality Vince McMahon finally said "No, this storyline is too retarded even for me to keep running".

Meh - at least they announced that Hornswoggle was Finlay's and not Vince's. That's payoff enough for me. At least the whole stupid thing ended.

Vince would be the last guy who's judgment of "storylines too stupid to keep going" I would trust!
This IS after all the same guy who thought having a storyline where he had sex with his daughter and had a baby would be GREAT! anyone who would even consider that for a storyline obviously has crappy judgment

This was meant to be a main-event level feud that got ballsed up and ended up being a comedy feud and then a joke opener to Mania. I doubt they'll go back to it.

Made more sense than putting Cena in anymore main-event matches rather than where he belongs---in the dark matches of Heat.............

I agree that the storylines probably over, as technically it did have an end. Even though the good guys totally got shafted and the heel won the feud, it did technically finish.
We found that Hornswoggle is not Vince's son, but Finlay's instead. Finlay says it's true, and he feuds with JBL for outing him apparently. JBL beats up Hornswoggle in the hospital bed, then beats Finlay at Wrestlemania.
If they were to try to resume the storyline to allow the good guys to win, it would really just convolute things even more than they already are. I agree with WWE on this one, that the best course of action is to cut their losses and just move on. I mean, I really don't even think the feud was supposed to end at WM, because Finlay would have won. But I think after the match, WWE figured the storyline had plodded on long enough, and everyone involved would be better off moving on.
