Who do you think it's going to be?
Do you think they'll reinstate Regal, or go for someone new? I wouldn't mind seeing them go with Matt Striker. He hasn't been doing much of anything in a long while. The crowd really hates him, and we all know how much they love their heel authority figures.
On the other hand, if it's Shane & Stephanie supposedly appointing this person to counteract all the chaos on Raw, they might go with a face.

It will be Flair.
My thinking behind it is that they wouldn't drag out the 'search' for a new GM, only to have them reinstate the recently fired one.
I still think Regal needs to go back into some form of power though, otherwise his effectiveness and what made him so great will be diminished. Perhaps a power struggle with Flair could work, with each recruiting their own minions to gain control. Continuing the 'anarchy' of sorts.
If it is just Flair though, it won't be any different from his 2002 role. Regal in 08 was a lot different from his commisioner days, but Flair as a face GM won't be any different to Flair the face Raw owner. They need something to put a twist on the whole thing.

It has to be said: Snitsky. Just cause I want to see what kinds of pictures he hangs up in his GM office... pictures of flying babies, feet, etc.
If not Snitsky, then bring back Bischoff. I really think that no GM has done nearly as good a job as he had.
Of course ideally I would like to see no GM, since I feel the whole concept is boring by now. But if we have to have one (and it seems we do), I say bring back Bischoff. Or Snitsky.

I'm sure Regal will return as a full time wrestler.

I think it'll end up being Regal. They'll do the "we didn't want to do this, but we warned you and you forced our hand" bit.

My prediction is Dusty Rhodes. They are looking for someone to restore "law & order" to RAW, and he would be a good choice to do so.

As I said in my new thread, I could see a scenario where Jericho seizes power.

No seriously, boogeyman would be an awesome GM.
He'd pop out of nowhere to announce the main event. Then he'd ask people to get him a worm sammich

I'd like to see Flair on-screen again, but I think it'd diminish the impact his retirement had.

It's going to be some form of co-GMs for a while. Probably feuding with each other, hopefully only adding to the chaos. Lawler teased it Monday when he said Shane and Stephanie were searching for a new GM, and added "I wonder if they'll agree on the choice though."
Edit: I could see Regal being one choice, with the Burchills as the first ones backing him. And depending on the truth of the rumors that JBL is ready to step away from in-ring work, and how long they stretch the search, he might be another with Priceless being his first allies. RAW wrestlers slowly drift to one side or the other each week until Survivor Series where they settle it once and for all.

bringing in ANY heel GM whos not a huge shocker/major surprise would just be a waste. Is anybody really clammoring for a new GM? Im kinda hoping this all just fades into the background and we keep getting non "STACKED DECK" matches and more solid shows. I have zero interest in seeing Regal resume his role as GM punishing all the faces by forcing them to fight Umaga Kane because he's so dangerous. That act was tired several years ago.
In my opinion all that NOT having a GM has done is made it a more interesting product. Fueds seem to be happening organically rather than thrown together in a GM appointed #1 contenders match.
The flow of RAW has been great. Theres seriously 5 people in the World title picture and seemingly more people with important roles on the show.
