Anyone remeber Fatu's "Make A Difference" coming soon vignettes? That's immediately what I thought of when I saw the Ron Killings promo.
He looks good though.

I never saw Rikishi as Fatu.
What was so bad about it? A dude from the street coming into the WWF to be a role model doesn't sound too lame.

I don't think this ever happened It did, and his cousins came in for a week to feud with him. It sucked, especially since this was 1/2 of the Samoan Swat Team they changed to make that character.

Not bad, he's like the anti-Cryme Tyme. But R-Truth is a TERRIBLE name. Just call him Ron Killings.

well I for one will be rooting for Killings, the man has a ton of talent and he is fun to watch I thought TNA missed the boat by not putting him and Joe in a program together.

Thanks dude. I thought the promo was alright. Its good that WWE wants a positive role model character, but if he gets too preachy its not gonna go over well. Also, the lameass break dancing needs to go away forever.

I think that harkens back to Booker T. in 2002-2003 more than Fatu's "Make a Difference" run.

Maybe a Ron Killings Punk team up in the near future? Maybe his debut will involve saving punk from some sort of danger? Straight Edge + Positive Black Role Model v.s. Cryme Tyme?

So... if the "I'm a better man now than I was" gimmick doesn't pan out... will R-Truth be accompanied to ringside by animated animals singing about the joys of underweight babies?
