Seems like a no-brainer that with gas still over $4 a gallon, the wrestlers are getting murdered with all of their travel.
Have any of them said anything about it in their blogs or anything? WWE only covers their airline tickets, correct?

I'd say it definitely hurts, but not as much compared to those of us who don't make the type of money they do.

WWE only covers their airline tickets, correct? Well I think in most places gas is still under $4.00 or at least it is in most of the midwest so I'm sure it isn't hurting them too badly. I think you are right about plane tickets. There is no way they would be able to afford that with airlines being in such financial trouble and having the raise their prices. I think it is kind of sad that plane tickets are the only thing paid for the wrestlers or thats what I hear. Sure they all get about 80,000 a year which is way above the average American but that kind of ends up only being about maybe 40 to 50 after taxes and travel expenses.

THis would make a great Kayfaybe thread.
Kim Chee: "Sure it is, do you know how gas the truck I use to haul Kamala's cage around uses? I mean, It's not like I can take him on an airplane, the poor savage is going hungry. Do you how much the price of Ugandan Baby Meat has gone up? I mean, smuggling that stuff was never easy in the first place, but now..."

What I don't get is why wrestlers working for a company that makes hundreds of millions every year have to do their own driving. Surely costs could be cut somewhere to finance half-a-dozen tourbuses. I've seen rock bands who are known yet not actually famous have them, so why can't the WWE?

Most of them are making enough money that it shouldn't effect them too bad. It's the low card guys that are taking a big hit here

I don't get it either, go ask Lance Storm. He seems very friendly if very serious.

As said above its the lower card guys taking the hit, i know a few of the boys that are there from the UK and its not a very good wage at all when converted into GPB (£).

I'd love to know which guys carpool with eachother. The thought of The Great Khali carpooling with just about anybody is quite amusing.
Gas is $3.79 where I live, by the way.

Meh, us over in the UK have had to deal with high petrol and diesel prices for a while now. Count yourselves pretty lucky you're only beginning to get hit with them now
Doesn't HHH have a personal tour bus?

Count yourselves pretty lucky you're only beginning to get hit with them now Doesn't HHH have a personal tour bus? True that, I heard that prices in the UK several years ago were the equivalent of paying over 5 american dollars per gallon, and this was back when gas in the states was 2, and THAT was high!

Where I live Gas prices are around 3.74. But if your in the WWE I don't think it as bad for them because they get paid decent enough. I'm sure the company understand what is going on enough to look out for there talent alway. Now if you a indies wrestler who travels a lot just to make money. Yea it would have a much bigger effect if there not work for a billion dollar company.
