John Cena is interviewed on IGN.com, and he thinks that within five years, Ted DiBiase will headline WrestleMania - he sees him as better than Randy Orton when Orton was 25. Let's see if DiBiase is better at 28... uk.sports.ign.com/articles/895/895799p1.html

That's some high praise. I'd love to see Dibiase follow through with it.

Ted DiBiase already main evented Wrestlemania 4 though, so I don't understand his point.

I think Ted Dibiase carries himself very well. I've been more impressed with him than I have with DH Smith, Carlito, Deuce, Jesse, and Cody Rhodes. I would not be surprised if Cena's prediction is correct.

I don't know if its just that I haven't been paying attention to his matches are something, but he doesn't strike me as anything great in the ring, and he still sounds pretty awkward on the mic to me. Cody is miles ahead of him overall, IMO.

Forget Ted Jr, look what he had to say about Punk
(Warning: Smark Bait)
IGN: In that time period, CM Punk's become the World Heavyweight Champion and really elevated his game. Obviously, you want to win the World Title, but how do you think a match with Punk would go? What would you want to do stylistically in the match?
John Cena: I think our fans need to acclimate themselves more with CM Punk. He's a hell of a talent, and unorthodox, which is their way of saying I'm not any good, but he does stuff that no one else does. I'd like to see him in front of the camera more, doing his stuff. He hasn't had a chance to express his true talent level. When he does, he'll wake up a lot of skeptics inside the industry.
I enjoy challenges versus anyone, and whether it be the Great Khali or Rey Mysterio, I look at each match as a different story. I certainly would be caught off-guard by Punk's stuff because I haven't experienced it as much, but I think it would work out really well

Me either add to the fact that John Cena and CM Punk are close friends off camera as well.

I also remember that when Punk was still in OVW, Cena said something like that in 3 years CM Punk would be World Champion.
Maybe they will form a new Kliq lol.

if Punk can make Cena interesting...maybe this WWE PG won't be such a bad thing.

They already are and if and when Samoa Joe comes to the WWE just wait and see what will happen. It will be the Kliq V2 with people like HHH and HBK being in the positions that people like Bret hart were in 96-97 despite HHH being married to Stephanie McMahon.

He has GREAT potential to be a main event player, probably within 4-5 years.

I agree that Ted Jr. COULD be a main eventer but its hard to tell right now because he is in a tag team that doesnt allow him to get much ring time. Once they end the tag team ,maybe in 6 months and he goes solo, it will be easier to tell but I love the new tag team, and really saved the career of Cody Rhodes

My only real qualm with the guy is the fact that they insist on calling him Ted DiBiase, and if someone came up to me and started talking about Ted DiBiase, I'd think they were speaking of The Million Dollar Man.
And not his son.
They GOTTA come up with something...it can't be that hard.
