so I just returned from the springfield,IL house show.Matches were as follows. 0.Lance Cade def Paul London. 1.Kofi Kingston def Paul Burchill 2.Snitsky def Hacksaw Jim Duggan 3.Mickie James def Beth Phoenix 4.D-lo Brown def Santino 5.Batista def Kane 6.John Cena def Rhodes/Dibiase (handicaped) 7.CM Punk def Jericho (no dq).
So match 0 is out of order but that's the breakdown.Highlight for me was kofi in the opener,I really am starting to dig this guy.Low-point other than huge Cena pop (I just shook my head),was a tie between the 15 minutes that Cade,Jericho, and Punk spent jawing before the last match, or the horribly boring first half of Batista/Kane.
As an interesting aside, there was this guy a few seats in front of us who would talk into a mic and also make notes on a pad for every match.I have no idea if there was a reason or the guy's just a sad individual.During the eve the guy kept staring at my buddy whenever my buddy would yell anything. Finally my buddy sneaks to the seat behind the guy and just stares at the pad.
At the end of the night buddy follows the guy out the door and the guy starts booking like his life was on the line.So I got to watch this meaningless chase that nontheless made me laugh.I would say the guy could have a legit reason in today's world but we had several little kids in our group and had to look as threatening as the cast of Full House.
Well that's my report if ya like it or not, figured I'd post it for the hell of it.

A huge pop for Cena is a bad thing? Thats what I wanna know to. Personally any smark would tell you that someone Batista would deserve a good level of heel heat over someone like Cena any day of the week. BTW to the OP love your Demolition avatar been a mark of them, Strike Force, Midnight Express (all of them) and the Freebirds for like forever.

If it matters to you all then yes.I don't understand the above comment about Batista as it relates to anything I said.As far as Cena dissing being "old", I could care less.I despise the man and will continue to hate on him at every opportunity.I could care less if popular opinion changes or not.

I was at that show! Went with my sister's fiance and one of his friends!
Actually, I have a pretty cool story to tell about the event. We were sitting up in one of the last rows, so we could see over the curtain and tell who was coming out next. When we saw Paul London, the three of us and 2 other guys started a "We Want London" chant (nobody else joined in). Paul looked up and seemed genuinely thrilled that people actually gave a crap about him, and gave us a big smile and pointed up to our section. He gestured to us again when he hit the ring.
After the show had ended, my buddies and I went to where the wrestlers had parked their cars. We wanted to see if London would talk to us. Sure enough, he comes out, and looked absolutely beat. I was pretty sure he was just gonna leave without talking to anybody. But then I started yelling "London, we were those guys!" And he looked up, made eye contact with us, flashed us a big grin, and came right up to us and shook all of our hands and talked with us briefly. His demeanor completely changed. He seemed genuinely touched that we enjoyed his work. He even took a picture with my sister's fiance. Real nice guy. After that, he actually decided to sign autographs and joke with some of the other fans.
It was cool, because wrestlers are usually the ones that can make someone's day. But at that event, we could tell that our little London chant had made his.
