Wait, are you saying that LT/Bam Bam and HBK/Hogan were their respective PPV's primary draws? LT/Bam Bam was a sideshow at best, and HBK/Hogan turned out to be a comedy routine/smurf you Hogan. And I'm not saying that they shouldn't sell tickets and increase buyrates, but they should do it in a way that makes the titles meaingful. Otherwise there's no point to the title. Cena/Batista doesn't need the airtime it's getting to build to the match, because the guys are over. Sadly, the IWC knows that a match between two hosses is a recipe for suck, but the casuals that are the WWE's cash cow want to see it. Diesel/HBK going on after the spectacle of Bam Bam/LT, the crowd was deflated by the ending of HBK/Diesel because of the DQ from Sid. That made the crowd want to see a happy ending and they got one. Hogan/HBK wasn't a "screw you" to Hogan, that was HBK/Hogan travelling back to 1992 and having a match with the Heartbreak Kid and The Immortal. The match was intense as hell, and the crowd was really into it. Sure it might not have been the best match, but the crowd was entertained the whole way through. Okay on the Batista/Cena being a recipe for suck. You coudn't be more wrong. The IWC has been heaping praise on both of these guys particularly Batista in 2008, and Cena is the best performer and wrestler of his generation. the match should be a nice piece of work. A motivated Batista is able to put on classics, a motivated John Cena is able to make a match. I'm most hyped for Cena/Batista, and that should be the main event.

As far Bourne and Ortiz being a tag team I wouldn't mind because they could help the tag division and when the break up could have a good feud but, I would have perfered what I said in the ECW thread and that is Ortiz should have been in a tag team to start with because of him being so green that it would help him in the ring and get over, then he would become the breakout star.

damn, maybe i need a new TV or something. i'd've never guessed CM Punk was 6'8 and over 350 pounds. that's why he has the world title now i guess. Don't pull that size crap here because that's clearly not the case. And how is he being booked? Right now, the Cena/Batista match at Summer Slam is the Raw main event. Plus, he's facing Manboobs Layfield, another hoss. Face it, CM Poser is set up to be the second most forgettable champion, right behind Mysterio. You mean second behind Stan Stasiak.

I was going to ask if Ortiz has mic skills, if so this team could definitely work. Remember the Hart Foundation, Bret couldn't cut interviews to save his life(I think he thought he was worse than he really was, he definitely wasn't Ken Patera or Paul Christy) and Neidhart wasn't all that great in the ring. So Bret would carry them in the ring, as Bourne will, and Neidhart carried the promos, as Ortiz will.

Didn't Diesel beat Shawn by pinning him? I'm pretty sure there wasn't any run in DQ.
