I live in Kansas. Gay marriage was banned in our constitution. We don't have much in the way of rights in this state. How far are you from Kansas City? I've never heard of Independence Kansas. I technically live in independence missouri lol

What are the reasons you think he doesn't want you in his bar? I'm ASSUMING it's my bisexuality/crossdressiness type stuff. But of course, since he didn't TELL ME, I can't know for sure. And it's not like it would matter anyway, there's nothing I can do about it. I'm just venting. Well, If you're not hurting anyone, and nothing is going on in that bar or as a result of any meetings in that bar that could result in someone getting hurt, then basically, you're the victim of descrimination here. I believe that's illegal, even in a privately owned bar, If It's still a public place, I'm not sure though.

Technically by law in most states that goes against the ethnic codes or something like that. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure. It's Kansas, very neo-conservative state which people going crazy about morals and such. I get crap for it all the time because people think I'm gay for my look.

I'm telling you, Van Terminator is the way to go. I would pay good money to see Tony do the RVD thumb point on top of a barstool.

For real, hire like a 400 pound black guy and go into the bar. If the guy gives you shit, just call in the guy and raise hell.

haha I could get my roommate to do that. He's an intimidating enough big black guy, without the 400 pounds.
But I don't want shit to go down really. I'm just gonna be done with it.

That's super whack. MY suggestion is always open to ya but that'll take time I know. Also I know this is a serious thread but Batman's input seriously made me laugh out loud in real life.

Yeah both Kansas and Missouri kind of suck. Kansas is flat and all moral addicted while Missouri is about the same only it has white trash and meth labs. LOL

If there's a "We Reserve the Right to Refuse Service" sign up, there's really nothing you can do.

Nah, we have white trash and meth labs too.
My town is one of the biggest meth towns in KS, from what I understand.

I believe that's illegal, even in a privately owned bar, If It's still a public place, I'm not sure though. Generally speaking you can refuse service to anyone, for any reason. First off, the bar is private property and the owner can use it as he sees fit. Secondly, the sale of anything is actually a contract between two people. It's why, legally speaking, anyone under the age of 18 can't buy anything. The law says a person under 18 can not enter into any legal contract without parental conscent, because the law says people under 18 can not understand the implications of the contract. So they can't buy anything. The owner was smart, he didn't say, "I won't serve you because you like guys". That probably is discrimination. He just refused service, which is perfectly legal.

Well I don't know about Kansas since I haven't lived there since I was 9 but in Missouri I know this would be looked at as discrimination.

Yeah exactly. That's why I said I can't really DO anything. It just pisses me off. I know it's his right...it just upsets me quite a bit.
Especially since I've been in there 9023874092387490328 times, and was always nice to him. And paid for all my drinks without complaint or anything.
