Dude has the looks to play him.
From Captain Jack Harness to Captain America.
And yes I hope the Rednecks head explode over it.

Barrowman as Cap would kick ten different flavors of ass. I now officially have my favored star for the movie.

Man, he doesn't look like the character at all. Here's hoping that if they go this direction he can act. I honestly hope they pick a guy that looks the part AND can act, but if this dude proved capable of being convincing I wouldn't balk at it.

With that jaw line and his build, and eyes.

I've always seen Cap as your square jawed All-American dude good lookin guy probably , but maybe more rugged--Redford/Mcqueen. It's a minor quibble.

He's way too old, but Dennis Quaid would've been my pick ten years ago.

I would be offended if a half-Brit played Captain America. That would actually turn me off of the movie completely.

I stand behind my Matt Damon choice suggestion from a few threads about this ago actually as I think he looks more 'Mcqueenish' than this dude; and I think he can act.

What the Hell is a "half-Brit" anyway? Like does he live in America 50% of the time or something?

I don't know if he's big enough for the role, but I like him, he's very charismatic. And I don't know why some people are getting their panties in a bunch over the fact that he's a Brit, Batman is being played by a Welshman.
