I don't know if he's big enough for the role, but I like him, he's very charismatic. And I don't know why some people are getting their panties in a bunch over the fact that he's a Brit, Batman is being played by a Welshman. You're right! It's a conspiracy plot is what it is! The British are coming, the British are coming, and they're posing as American superheroes!

Looks a little old for the part appearence wise he's got it for the character but I prefer for Captain America to be played by an American actor just because I would rather it be played right, rather than worry about the nationality. I think both can be easily obtained. An American who is a good actor.

"James Bond and Captain America" I'd almost like to see Matt Damon get it and do really well with it, especially after Affleck tanked Daredevil.

I adore John Barrowman and he would get me to watch a Capt. America movie when I otherwise wouldn't. I don't think I've even heard his accent slip on Who/Torchwood so I don't think that would affect his portrayl. If Capt America will at some point wear a Capt Jack trenchcoat, then it's a WIN for me.

I actually have been championing Matt Damon as well for a while now.
The Bourne movies prove he can handle it.

Something about the guy bothers me.
He looks like Clay Aiken and Allan Cumming's lovechild.

As an American, I would be offended by this. But I'm not American, so I can't help but laugh.
Seriously though, they better be kidding, that would be awful.

Well since Doctor Who I've been saying this man is gold. So in all honesty I definitely want to see this.

My friend told me of this about a week or so ago. I mentioned to my friend (a redneck) that he is openly gay and he started to go in denial that this guy would get the role. He said, "Oh lord do you know how many people would make fun of it because he's gay?"
I definitely think Barrowman looks the part. I also think Ashton Krutcher (sp?) would be a good Capt just because he has the American boy look and in good shape. Now if he could only act
Oh and Barrowman looked really goofy with blonde hair in The Producers
Dammit I have the song stuck in my head now

Yeah, I'd be ok with this guy playing Captain America. I'll always be partial to the idea of Matthew McCounghey (sic and too lazy to look it up) though.
/Just saw the Wolverine : Origins trailer..........Hells yeah!
