Has the last few weeks of TNA with Joe as Champ and the great wrestling push WWE buttons to respond with Punk and younger guys as champs? Youth is a big asset in TNA. Was this the WWE way of securing RAW, especially with some here on the internet keep talking draft and "invasion". What is your opinions?

WWE is just trying to shake things up and get ratings IMO. I like TNA but I don't think WWE is sweating them at all. I believe the recent less-bimbo-more-wrestling streak they had on RAW was influenced by TNA's knockouts-division but other that I don't think they are dwelling much on TNA.

I may be wrong but I doubt Vince knows who the TNA Champion is.

I seriously doubt it.
Judging by the history the Money in the Bank winners it was obviously planned for him the win either the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship shortly before Wrestlemania. Although, I'm certain they didn't plan out when and where he'd win it. Last Monday is just an example of perfect timing and everything falling into place.
I disagree with those who say that Vince McMahon doesn't know what TNA is. After both Christian Cage and Kurt Angle jumping over I'm certain he reconizes TNA, but I've come to the conclusion that he doesn't find them to be a much of a threat, at least in the ratings department. But, I seriously doubt he spends much time worrying about them. I mean, WWE is his life. From what is reported on the internetz he's involved in every aspect. I'd imagine he doesn't have the time to really worry about anything, not WWE related.

Yeah, I agree that Vince is aware of TNA. Probably to the extent that he watches it himself or has someone give him the overall idea of what they're up to.
But no, I think they just want to change things drastically.

Vince made CM Punk champion because
A. He doesnt do drugs and this is why he got his initial push, because of all the drug stuff going on.
B. CM Punk was way over with the fans and he decided to give the fans what they want, instead of what he thinks they need. He'll revert back when his ego takes over again.

Yes, Vince McMahon knows what TNA is. He was asked about TNA in a shareholders meeting a year or two ago and he said that TNA serves a niche fanbase.

I seriously doubt that anything TNA does really influences much of anything WWE does. Maybe the Knockouts division influenced RAW's women wrestling focus, but they still have Layla and now Kelly Kelly and Smackdown only has about 3 girls that can actually go in the ring.

Vince McMahon is fully aware of TNA's existence. In an interview regarding the current state of the wrestling industry, he called TNA's largest sellout show "cute."

No. I don't think anything in TNA influences anything in WWE at all.
As far as WWE is concerned, I doubt that they consider TNA a real threat or competition at all. They probably considered ECW in 1997-2000 a MUCH bigger threat to WWE than TNA now.

Vince probably doesn't know Punk was in TNA (hell I didn't, back then it was still the weekly PPV deal wasn't it?).

They're using Raw to try to get some new guys over to their biggest audience of tv watchers while Smackdown is still being used to push basically the mainstays and over on ECW you're seeing new guys debut on tv right after the draft....This seems like normal WWE behavior more than a TNA response.
Every few years they'll take a couple guys and shoot them up to see if they can make a new star.
