Most of us know that all blade jobs are measured up against the Great Muta's infamous one against Hase. It's called the Muta Scale. Now, after what I saw on Impact, where it seemed like Kurt Angle got the ever-loving shit knocked out of him by that ladder, I believe Angle should get the same honor. That was the nastiest "hard way" cut I've ever seen. Within seconds, he was gushing blood. As Muta has his scale for blading, we should have an Angle scale for getting busted open the hard way.

Agreed. I can't remember when I've seen that much blood that fast.
I'm sure Kurt was hurting, but I suspect management was rubbing their hands gleefully at catching that on tape. They luckily had a camera right there and available for a close up with Kurt on the mat and the blood flowing like a faucet. You couldn't plan something like that and have it turn out so well.

actually management was probably smacking themselves on the head realizing they've already released that bloodiest matches type DVD they were promoting during the show. this would have been a great addition to it.

Man that thing looked nasty! I'm sure he needed a ton of stitches. The whole thing just added more excitement for their match at Hard Justice. You have to hand it to Angle. Most people would've been done after something like that. I know I would've been.

I think Perry Saturn had that beat when he hit his head on the guardrail and practically cracked his skull open.

That was pretty nasty. Imapact was OK this week but still same problems with rushing the show, booking and gimmick matches and the annoncing. These are problems which can be fixed with time though. They have a lot of great matches on there shows and good matches. They are a decent alternative to WWE at the moment. However they are inconsitant in there Impact shows so have to wait for a few weeks to see if they can keepo the good work up. However they do have to drop the gimmcik matches ALL THE TIME.

I personally thought it was a stupid (and avoidable) mistake. He lost a ton of blood in there.

Well, I'd say at least it was the worst one since this :

After Kurt Angle got busted open, he reminded me of Jean-Claude Van Damme (Frank Dux) at the end of the movie Bloodsport... but instead of being blinded by powder, Angle was blinded with his own blood.

I also caught this tonight and it looked NASTY. But as far as this topic goes, I gotta say Joey Mercury.

Oh - and Borat proves once again why he is the worst interviewer in the world. Hint for JB - the mic goes in front of your mouth when you are the one that's speaking. @ Ryushinku - the Eddie match was a bad blade job.

Dunno if I'm being heckuva dumb, but the way I read it was that Angle was supposed to bleed to some extent that night, to sell the upcoming PPV, and they just underestimated how much blood would come spraying out of his cueball noggin. I think it'd suit him, reaching 45, 50 or so with huge Abdullah-style wedges carved out of his skull.
