I wish he hadn't died, there really isn't any other performer out there like him.
For some reason I would have liked to have seen him have a match with Raven, for all I know this may have happened, but I don't ever remember one.

Beach Blast 1992 had a really good match between Raven (Scotty Flamingo) and Brian Pillman.
It's a show worth checking out, it also features a great 30 minute Iron Man Match between Rude and Steamboat and the classic Sting/Cactus Falls Count Anywhere match.

Yeah I loved his Loose Cannon gimmick. It was so original and innovative for that time.

Yeah I loved his Loose Cannon gimmick. It was so original and innovative for that time. And really, still is. Can you think of a single wrestler alive today that could sell it like him? That's the problem with almost every "crazy" wrestler today, I don't believe a single one of them. Not even Necro.

That's the problem with almost every "crazy" wrestler today, I don't believe a single one of them. Not even Necro. Exactly. See, the thing is, I was too young to appreciate most of his work as it happened. I saw the gun angle happen, but I didn't understand why it happened. Same with Brian and Marlena's Sexxx Files. But looking back on it, as well as how he carried himself and how he was truly believable as an onscreen persona, it's just wow.

ive said it before and ill say it again, he was the most under appreciated wrestler ...ever. this is comin from someone in the biz too. if he hadnt broken his ankle he woulda been the top star in the wwf when vince got his hype machine behind him. his loose cannon character confused ppl in the biz including his best friends, he was the talk of the entire industry while he was a free agent. and u combine that with his ring work (had he not hurt his ankle in a motorcycle accident) and he woulda been stone cold before stone cold happened

Man it sucks that he's not around anymore. I agree, had it not been for his injury, he would've gone very far.

I've always been convinced that "Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman was supposed to have been the heir-apparent to "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Pillman's mic skills (particularly his shoot-style rants) were as good as anything Piper did in the 80's.

Pillman was THE MAN. No question about it. My mind was made up when I saw the Loose Cannon documentary part on 24/7. I knew of the stuff he did, but just seeing it all together was fantastic. It was so great, that I called in my younger brother and I told him to watch the part with the Heenan coat-grabbing at Clash up to the ECW Arena promo. He was one of a kind, and I truly wish he was still with us today. If he hadn't gotten injured, it's fascinating to ponder on how things could have went.

I miss Brian Pillman as well. I forgot that WWE had a DVD out of him so on my most recent WWEShop.com order, I picked up the Brian Pillman: Loose Canon dvd and it is great. I highly recommend it to everyone. It had a great look at his life and wrestling career including a lot of interviews with his family. www.wweshop.com/product_detail.asp?productId=35-00538&cartID=2008070721092554389987127&cat=SEARCHI didn't follow WCW at all until the nWo angle started so all of his work in WCW was new to me -- fantastic stuff. I enjoyed his stint with the Hart Foundation as well. He was an outsider yet fit in so well with that group. I'd like to find a copy of the Pillman Memorial show somewhere.

Just like Mr. Perfect, I haven't watched Pillman in his prime, but because I have more of a education on him, I have become a total mark of him. If it wasn't for the crash, who knows. But to me, it adds more to his mystique.

Pillman was my favorite out of the Hart Foundation I really would have thought he would have been World Champ if he were still alive. I always thought he woud do great in this bussiness but his career was then cut short.

He was great, and really believable in his role, I loved his promo when he first joined at a press conference where he acts liek a face untill he signs the contract and immediately pulls a "you have no idea what you just did" routine
