how went sting's and goldberg's? I didn't watch wrestling back then. I can summarize both of them exactly the same: Russo booking.

I thought Nick Patrick turning heel was pretty good myself. He got loads of heat, especially when he'd screw over faces like Savage and the Steiners.

Gregory Helms.
Let's go from a unique character that people will remember and shift to... a cocky dude with sunglasses. Yeah, that'll set him apart from all the other generic heels.
They should have made him a supervillain. It would have been comedic, would have run the risk of being Wrestlecrap, but at least it would have been memorable.

Wasn't Goldbergs heel turn lasted two weeks?

I swear I think Sting's was like less than a month Yeah, it was over by the time the next PPV rolled around. A blink and ya miss it kinda thing. It lasted from Fall Brawl to a week or two after Halloween Havoc. But, it never got over. I remember he'd sometimes get conway type pops, because fans new he wasn't a face, but didn't want to boo him so they'd just not respond at all. My favorite part of his brief heel turn was when it first turned and the fans popping really hard for him attacking Hogan with the baseball bat. I'm not trying to come to Russo's defense or anything, but it's a common misconception that he booked Sting to turn heel. Russo didn't take over booking duties until the week before Halloween Havoc. Sting had already been heel for the prior month.

Wasn't Goldbergs heel turn lasted two weeks? It lasted almost two months roughly, from GAB in June to the day after New Blood Rising in August. Just didn't seem right as a heel, as he'd get pops for beating on such faces as Sting, Booker, Nash and others.

Jim Duggan's was freaking STUPID. Made zero sense at all.
But I think Linda's is worse because they never really did anything with heel Linda afterwards.

Duggans was when he joined Team Canada right?
Linda was so stupid, it just didnt need to happen or go anywhere afterwards, didnt stone cold use the stunner on her once? Sting is someone that just couldnt be a heel, he'd been around for so long doing face things. I think he's the only one you could put in that catagory? Even the Undertaker can be hated when he wants to. Sting and Goldberg turns were just badly played out, they could of worked at one point but when they actually happened, and how they happened, it just never panned out well on either part.
But I still think Linda for being the most ridiculous!

Jim Duggan's was freaking STUPID. Made zero sense at all. Made sense to me. For years he was the patriotic guy, always stood up for the fans. Got cancer, survived it and when heel Goldberg targeted him and beat him where the cancer was, the crowd cheered. That's what disillusioned him. Now, where they went with the angle after that, not so much, but it at least - to me - had logic behind the actual turn. For once, the guy was justified in saying the fans turned their backs on him first.

Linda's was really bad. Only heel turn I can think of that basically consisted of hitting a guy in the nuts.
