I was at work bored outta my mind so I started singing "With My Baby Tonight" and I got to thinking about Jarret's run in the WWF....now what I can't remember the details about was his run as the NWA champion during 97 I believe it was....so anyone know what was up with that?
Didn't he lose it to Dan Severn or something like that?

It wasn't the NWA title, it was the NWA North American Championship I believe. Either way, I have a picture of myself with the belt from when Steve Corino had it.
As for details, I don't remember who he lost it to, or if he did while in WWF, but I do know the angle flopped and that WWF cut ties with the NWA before too long

Jarrett left WCW and was chosen to be part of Cornette's NWA stable for the NWA Invasion, which was pretty much a joke. If I remember correctly (and I really should look these things up), Jarrett beat Windham for the North American title, but eventually was stripped of it when he left the NWA stable. Severn held the NWA World Heavyweight title, but lost it after the angle had dropped and I believe he was gone from the Federation then.
After the NWA thing, Jarrett looked to be starting a feud with Owen, but it was dropped before it ever progressed. Then they brought in Col. Robert Parker and called him "Tennessee Lee" and he managed Jarrett. Basically, Jarrett once again played a wrestler who wanted to sing country music.
