I was going through my stuff I had as a kid with my mom last week and came upon the program from the first WWF house show I ever attended, sometime after WrestleMania 5. After listing an IC title match between Rude and Warrior, a match between Demolition and Powers Pain, plus a couple others.....it proudly declared..."Plus other matches featuring Tim Horner and the Brooklyn Brawler!!" I had to Wiki Tim Horner just to figure out who the hell he was...... I should scan it, it really amused me. They ran a house show at the Allentown Fairgrounds in 1991 that I went to where it proudly proclaimed on the match listing "Also featuring JIM POWERS!" At that point, I had NO idea who he was.

What I learned is that whenever it's a few days before or after my birthday, the WWF/E is usually in Michigan (not that I mind ;D).

The initial ? was re: OLD WWF matches from late 70's to mid 80's and where they were held. Correct me if I am wrong but they were held in Allentown, PA.

They were in Hamburgh 99.9% of the time and Pougeskipse, NY after that. I lived in Allentown for almost 20 years, they'd run the Fairgrounds and Bethlehem's Stabler Arena, but All-Star Wrestling was taped in Hamburgh.

Ricca, Thanks for the clarification. I watched these matches every Saturday morning for years in Boston. When the WWF came to the old Boston Garden for a show on Saturday night once a month I was there. I look forward to many more discussions in this forum about old WWF days.
Thanks again!

I believe Superstars and Wrestling Challenge were taped in one place. But I was watching an episode of Prime Time Wrestling from 1987 and most of the matches were from different places. It was funny because they had a Jim Powers/Paul Roma vs the Executioners match on Prime Time Wrestling, and then the next month they had the exact same match on a house show in MSG, but non of the other matches were on Prime Time Wrestling. They usually just used opening matches and showed a mid card match for the main event(Hart Foundation vs. Tito Santana and Koko B. Ware or something like that). I also liked NWA WCW more, and occasionally it would have a cool main event like Flair vs Windham or Magnum TA vs AA.
