I'll say St.Anger. Van Halen III can go to hell also but the song "Once" is pretty good.

Metallica's was the most dissappointing by far, you can say that. For months all we heard was that the OLD Metallica that we all knew and loved was coming back!!! No more of the crap we were fed throughout the 90s.
Then the album completely sucked.
I think with Van Halen, nobody really expected much out of Gary Cherone. New singer or no, VH (and I love the David Lee Roth stuff BTW) was washed up at that point, so most of us figured the album would suck.
That goes doubly for the Crue. Their shelf life was much shorter than Van Halen's even, and nobody really even cared when that terrible album came out. We all knew they were way past their prime anyways.

After listening to my gran taking a violent dump, St. Anger somehow didn't get it done. Fix'd

Motley Crue on the other hand suck big time, so I'm guessing their album is the worst....probably. You. Me. Outside.

St. Anger. It was the greatest dissappointment among the three. I agree with this opinion. The album has kind of gotten better over time, IMO, but it's still the biggest disappointment of the three choices shown.

I really think St. Anger isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Sure, the production could be better, but when you look at it in the long run, it was a more...experimental step forward. I very much agree, and all the crap they were going through. (Bassist of 14 years quitting suddenly, internal problems like fighting, James going to rehab...) At least they are willing to try new stuff instead of getting stuck in the same rut for years and making Master of Puppets part 9.

I voted for Van Halen, cause I actually kinda like St Anger. But I hate the last VH album

Alright, here are three very popular rock/metal bands with their least popular album. For me, St. Anger is the worst of the bunch. The drums sound like crap and the guitars sound like they're in a tin can. St. Anger was definitely the most disapointing, but Van Halen 3 was one giant pile of suck. Never heard the Motley Crue album...

I always thought Load was Metallica's worst album. It was the only album I know of that described itself.
Easily Van Halen III wins this one. Although I will admit, I liked the fact that none of the songs sounded like self-help anthems. (I'm looking at you, Hagar) However, that's easily the only positive.
