Alright, here are three very popular rock/metal bands with their least popular album.
For me, St. Anger is the worst of the bunch. The drums sound like crap and the guitars sound like they're in a tin can.

St. Anger. It was the greatest dissappointment among the three.

St. Anger. It was the greatest dissappointment among the three. St. Anger was a huge disappointment, but it's nothing compared to the Cherone/VH debacle. First, they release two new songs with Dave, show up at the MTV awards with him, and then ... nothing, he's gone. And replaced with Gary freaking Cherone. That's like someone putting a steak dinner in front of you after you've starved for a week, only to replace it with a fig newton.

Can I vote for God Hates Us All - Slayer (aka Slayer Hates Their Fans). Same hype as the others and even greater disappointment?
No?
Ok St. Anger!

After listening to black album, Load, Reload, and S&M, St. Anger somehow didn't get it done.

The Crue album wasn't bad at all. Just not what most people think of as "Motley Crue."

I really think St. Anger isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Sure, the production could be better, but when you look at it in the long run, it was a more...experimental step forward.
But yeah, it's the worse of the bunch.

The Crue album wasn't bad at all. Just not what most people think of as "Motley Crue." I agree. I didn't waste my money on Van Halen 3, so I can't really opine here. But it's not Motley Crue.

St. Anger is the funniest god damn album of all time, serously, whenever i'm down i can put that thing on and just laugh my ass off at imagining 1,000 label execs, metallica and Bob Rock all sitting round to the pre release listening and saying to each other "yep, we got it!! METALLICA IS BACK!!".
Oh god i'm delighted by writing that, i think i'll put it on

St. Anger is one of the biggest disappointments of all time. It may even be worse than Reload, which I thought was impossible for Metallica.

Damnit, I accidentally voted for Motley Crue thinking it was for the best.
Worst? St. Anger by a mile and a half.

St Anger is the only one I've listened to and I don't think it was that bad. Motley Crue on the other hand suck big time, so I'm guessing their album is the worst....probably.
