The Dark Knight Returns - Frank Miller - Read for the thirst time ever and I thought it was just OK. Was not blown away by it. Artwork looks great in some parts and other parts it looked like a 6 year old drew it. And the story was quite frankly a bit of a mess. I guess it has it's place in history for returning Batman to his dark roots. I have ordered 'The Killing Joke' and 'The Long Halloween' and I hope they are better. Every Dead Thing - John Connolly - One of my all time favorite books. Ex NY Cop Charlie Parker becomes a P.I after the brutal murder of his wife and daughter. He gets hired by a wealthy women to track down a missing girl that leads to something sinister. During the course of the investigation Parker discovers some vital clues to the killer of his family. The book is the first in a series of stories. I can't recommend this book enough. I would like to see HBO or Showtime adapt the series into a TV show.

Finished?
I think that was Doc Savage: The Evil Gnome.
Currently reading: a Conan anthology (Vol.1 from DelRey), an HP Lovecraft Anthology (DelRey "Best of"), The Shadow: The Serpents of Siva, and Tarnsman of Gor.
Yeah, I have time on my hands.

"Dave Gorman's googlewhack adventure" from the guy goes mad on a "drunken bet" genre, nothing at all to do with the inevitable book deal. It was alright but nothing compared to Danny Wallace's efforts.

What did you think of Tietam Brown? I know you weren't asking me, but I loved the book...I think it actually made me tear up towards the end. Last thing I read was "Flesh Gothic" by Edward Lee...a confusing, gross, but fairly enjoyable horror book, and am now working on "The Store" by Bentley Little which I'm enjoying, seems to be a VERY thinly veiled shot at Wal-Mart which I always enjoy.

The last book I actually finished was A Lion's Tale.
Right now I'm alternating among a few books:
Nothing's Sacred by Lewis Black Jim Morrison : Life, Death, Legend by somebody The Lost Writings of Jim Morrison White Line Fever by Lemmy (Motorhead mark) American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
Different books, I know. I just have a habit of starting one before I finish the other one.

The Road, by Cormac McCarthy.
I posted a thread about this book that got no-sold, but getting through this book brought me to tears, it was so powerful.
Very interested in the film version due out in November, with Viggo Mortensen.
