Maybe I missed something, but...
a) Even if you could buy 1,000 iPhones, they require you to sign up for their ridiculously overpriced plans to go along with it. That's why AT&T is subsidizing the cost and selling them for a loss, they'll make up for it on the plans and actually attracting customers that have been going to Verizon and other cell providers in droves since they merged with Cingular. It's not like you can march into an AT&T store and buy their phone without a plan attached.
b) There's not really a huge demand for iPhones like there was for something like the Wii. It may be hard to find in some areas, but I can go over to my local mall and get one right now if I please. Even if there is, it's not going to be a ridiculous markup like we've seen withs ome other hardware.
c) Most stores have implemented a "One per...." policy because of scum of the earth just like Miss Piggy in that video.
Oh well, glad to see that worked out well for her.

If I were him, I'd at least hold out for about 5,000 considering the green she was waiving around.
But I love how he read the rules and knew he could still get his plus mac it out.
