www.slashgamer.com/2008/08/27/rumor-nintendo-ds-replacement-will-be-announced-next-year/According to Kotaku and some industry sources, Nintendo is already working on a brand new version of their highly successful Nintendo DS. The ‘sources‘ who are outside of Nintendo, spoke about the updated DS and will support “slightly” larger screens, as well as both LCD’s will have the touch screen feature. No word yet if the system will be more powerful in terms of graphics, but we would assume it would - although, this is Nintendo we’re talking about.

That sounds neat, though having touch screen features on both screens sound like it'll just be used for the casual stuff as I don't see too many serious games needing such a feature.

I definatly see this as being a more casual console like the wii

Or it might be that you can set it up so that the non-touch part of the game plays on whichever screen you want and thus have an option of which screen you'd like to be the touch screen.
As odd as that sounds.

So, the Nintendo DS SP then. Then following that will be the Nintendo DS Micro.

Aww damn it. I'm still enjoying mine, and it's the clunky silver first model.
