Stopped in Best Buy as I was talking to a friend on the way to Wendy's (figured it would be rude to talk in such a small restaurant). Ended up going to the horror section.
Picked up Otis for $20. According to the packaging, it played at SXSW. I hadn't even heard of it, nor knew it was playing then. I guess this is redemption.
Or something.

Take that back - my last DVD purchase showed up in the mail today - a set of 600 public domain cartoons, which means I can finally get rid of the dozens of other discs I have with the same stuff on them. Two things Madison: 1. If that 600 cartoon disc doesn't contain horribly faded Looney Tunes (and since its probably Mill Creek it isn't), then its not legitimate. 2. You bought Rodman Down Under. Who feels ripped off now? It has a few faded LTs on it, not many though. What surprises me is that they rounded up 600 PD toons and there's not a single Superman in sight. I bought RDU for a buck or two. Haven't even taken it out of the package; Keep in mind, I love bad one-shot/short-lived PPV ventures (WWA, XWF, etc) so it was worth it.

Which ones, not necessarily eps, but I've never seen ONE LT on a whole Mill Creek collection 2. You got a point. I saw it Wal-Mart, but never picked it up.

I got loads on pre-order, but the next two that are due for delivery are Chemical Wedding and Cloverfield (blu-ray). Just got Doomsday at the beginning of this week as well.

Actually, you may be right; I thought one of the "Robin Hood" cartoons on it was the LT one with the squirrels, but it's not the case. That's what I get for assuming. Still, given so many of those have made it to the LT Golden Collections, all nice and restored, I'm glad now; that means there's no duplicates on this set from those.

Trust me, theres a lot of fun to be had in the old faded copies though. I have all 5 LTGC's, and as awesome as they are with top-notch special features, nothing will have the feel of being a kid with cartoons that are faded, have the AAP logo, being horribly redrawn, and knowing that working can wait . Or, go to Wal-Mart, and get Cartoon Craze as a compliment to the 600 cartoon set, and make mix DVD's out of them.
