OK Crappers, I just saw a quality reference on the WWE Board to the 1996 comedy classic KINGPIN, starring Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid and Big Bad Bill Murray and thought it could stand a little love on this board. I consider this the high point of the Farrelly Brothers career, and indeed one of the high points in the life of every one who ever saw this gem. Get to appreciating!!!!!!
(Roy flosses his teeth in the bathroom) "What are you doing, Mr Munson?" "Flossin'" "Flossin? Where'd I get Munson from?"
"You two know each other?" "It's a small world when you've got an unbelievable set of tits, Roy"

This is actually my favorite movie of all time, and to this day, IMO, no other comedy movie has equalled it.
On the surface, it appears to be just another dumb comedy flick, and to be sure, there's plenty of gross-out humor. But it's about SO much more than that - it's played to perfection, it has a truly motivated Farrelly Brothers behind the scenes, it has Bill Murray in perhaps his best and funniest acting performance of all time (and yes, I include his Oscar-nominated "serious" roles) - seriously, is there a more memorable character than Big Ern? - and it's just such a powerful story. Redemption and the power of friendship - we need more movies like "Kingpin."

Okay, you wanna bowl for some big money, eh? But I'll lose my entire bonus check because I'm so bombed.
You get that way from ginger ale?
Nah, he was sniffin' glue in the parking lot.

If I had to pick a single favorite MOMENT from "Kingpin," it's this exchange, with Roy attempting to wrangle his hand away from the family dog underneath the table.
Mr. Boorg: Do you have any children, brother Hezekiah?
Roy: Oh, none that I know of.
At which point he finally yanks his hand free and nails himself in the face with horrific force. I always have to rewind this at least five times every time I see it.

Every time someone mentions this movie, I feel obligated to tell them that it was filmed in the casino I work at.
So. This movie was filmed in the casino I work at.

The segment where Woody has the overflowing bucket of milk and he takes a long sip from it, only to be horrified it isn't milk:
"We don't have a cow. We have a bull". "I'm .....gonna go brush my teeth"
Classic.

Truly great comedy. I even giggled when I saw G4 touting their showing of it a few weeks back. Who cares why they showed it, it's freakin' Kingpin, man!
