I dread to think what Lionsgate would have done to your script had they accepted it. Right now, with the treatment that MMT and Repo got, I still say, f*** them.
You're better than what they're looking for, sweetie.

You're better than what they're looking for, sweetie. The fact that they can put out all sorts of garbage and not even bother looking at my script, makes me sad. Then they endeavor'd me on top of that

Uh. To be endeavored would mean you actually worked there. You obviously missed the good natured humor of the endeavor'd part.

Did your script have a hobo at all? If so, I'll play the bindle.
You're too good for Lions Gate, go over to RKO Pictures.

If I had a script that got rejected by the studio that green lit Disaster Movie, I think I'd be on suicide watch!
Hang in there.

you did make sure to get a copywrite on the script incase lionsgate takes your ideas and steals them, right? That's why they don't read unsolicited manuscripts. You see, if they read them, and rejected them, and years latter used something that kind of resembled them, they would open themselves up for a lawsuit on the basis of "You stole my idea." The producers who do take them usually get flooded with them, are they are only able to read a few, and most of them simply aren't that good. Star Trek has accepted them for years, the most of what they have used is a few story ideas. This is why writters have agents.

Don't worry, They'll take your script and use it as their own and you can sue them for 8 hundred billion dollars.

But he does have a point. Unfortunately, the best way to get a script read is by hiring an agent, which is going to suck up even more money.

There's a lot of red tape involved if you want to get your script read by a studio. Definitely having an agent is the main thing and nobody's going to take you seriously without one.

Lionsgate endeavor'd my script Mistake #1: You sent your script directly to the studio. Do yourself a favor, in order to get a script looked at you need to belong to the Writers Guild or something similar. This is why you won't ever be able to act in a movie outside of something independant without belonging to SAG. Join the Writers Guild if you want to even be considered. I'm surprised you didn't know this(if you already did, I apologize). Kind of tells you how hypocritical Hollywood really is isn't it.
