How come Alyx never runs out of ammo in HL2? The NPC rule in shooters. NPCs NEVER run out of ammo. That's why in games like Halo where I can give NPCs weapons, I give them something like the shotgun or rocket launcher. Of course, this doesn't really help in Dead Rising, as the NPCs are too dumb to effectively use the weapon. Yeah, in Halo 2 (not sure of the original or 3rd as I never noticed it), but on a rare occassionat least, you can pick up a flood's assault rifle and it's loaded with more ammo than you can usually carry. Once you run under that, it'll only carry the original. (I got them by grenading some of them before they noticed me/had a chance to shoot.)

I cannot believe no one has mentioned Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic 2. KotOR II is broken. So very very broken. The endgame is basically one giant plot hole. I feel sorry for Obsidian. They tried their best with the crap hand dealt to them, and almost made it work. I mean, I actually liked certain things in the second game over the first, such as: I liked that you could gain or lower influence with crew members, I liked that you could construct weapons and make your own modifications, and I liked that skills actually meant something. In the first game, you can pretty much get by without putting any points into anything other than persuade or treat injury, but in this game, if you didn't work on repair or other skills, you missed out on better modifications for your weapons, or you missed out on extra conversation choices that help advance the plot.

Don't get me started on how plot hole happy FFVII was/is. It took a movie and 3 games to try to fix them and there's still plot holes.

Pac-Man: If eating a power pellet turns the ghosts blue and makes them edible, how come they don't flee when you're close to one? (I know if I'm chasing somebody and they're close to picking up a gun, I'd haul ass to the next county.) And, if they are truly ghosts, why do they follow the configuration of the maze instead of going through the walls?

I don't so much think of them as plot holes, but trying to make fans happy. The game itself I feel didn't have that many plotholes, but all the added on stuff has either shined a HYOOOGE light on a plothole, or created a new one. I think if they would have given the FFVII storyline resolution years ago we wouldn't have the problem we have now.

Because they aren't technically dead in battles, they are "knocked out". Phoenix Down's revive, not bring back from the dead. Agreed. I don't care what the item refers to, you never die in battle. Except in this game. Possibly the only rpg where if you die, you're dead for good.

I was playing HL2: Episode One, and she doesn't run out of ammo, can open almost any door, and takes a million hits, and I'm like, why the hell am I fighting the Combine?

Death is a major plothole in nearly all games, except for the fire emblem series. That's the point I was trying to make. I promise.
