Finally, Wrestlecrap gets it's very own NES Cartridge Cover Appreciation thread! Take a moment in your day to offer your thanks to this nifty little NES game lifesaver. They protected our games from dust and other airborne particles. They were slick and shiny when under the light. They were made of a unique brand of plastic, not replicated since. The NES Cartridge Cover, you are hereby appreciated on Wrestlecrap!

Thank you, NES cartridge covers. You prevented 75% of my cartridge's surface from getting dusty.

I hated those things. Still do, actually.

I preferred the ones with the Red Nintendo logo on them. Some games I got came in paper or card board sleeves as well.

Fortunately, a CD box will store them well today. Assuming, you know, corrosion doesn't get to them first. Stupid pre gold connectors.

Didn't NES games just come with their own boxes? Did people throw these out? Why am I asking so many questions?

My aunt only has about 20 of them left (out of around 75 games). I recently got WWF Wrestlemania Challenge at a video store sale, and it came with the box and the sleeve. That was a good day.
