SMH @ the reverse Warp Zone.
Mega Man was tough, but they literally tried to f*** with your head in Lost Levels

I think the deals ending made sense because SM2 was so different than the orignal Mario and Mario 3 so the ending was logical.
Has anyone played world -1 in the orignal super mario brothers?
As far as a US Version and a Jap version it supposedly was that lost levels was the orignal supermario 2 or something

SMB2. What nnoys me the most is the warp pipes that makes you go back a level. Like level 4 to level 1

I never has problems with the Lost Levels, simply because I could save after each level. It is tough, but trial and error, especially with no repercussions from a Game Over allowed me to beat it. Keep in mind, I did warp so I got the DIFFERENT extra worlds, not the ones that you get from beating it legit. It's decent...I like it.
Mega Man on the other hand, I don't know of anyone who can be Wiley legit...you basically must rely on the Pause glitch.

Super Mario 2 is one of the hardest games I've ever played in my entire life.

Mario Bros 2 Jap. I've never really sat and tried to beat it myself. But watching My Brother and friend play it I gotta go off that.
The only part in Megaman that I remember having a really difficult time with was the gutsman stage with those stupid timed jumps...
It's been a while though.

I found the PAL (NES) version of SMB2 quite easy - and that's when I was a kid...
Are we talking about different games here? Because I am honestly no kind of gaming guru at all.

First Mega Man easily. I didn't find SMB2 that hard. Difficult, but not to the level of a Mega Man.
Edit:
Oh, I missed the whole it being the Japanese version of 2. In that case it's a push, cuz that's right up there difficulty wise.

Mega Man isn't as tough as people claim IMO. The master robots are all easy, yellow devil is tough but can be overcome with some practice and good timing, and then it's fine once you've got him out the way. Let's not forget that you've pretty much got an infinite amount of retries in the Mega Man games. Now, if you had to play the whole game from the start once you lost your lives, THEN it would be hard.
Lost Levels was just evil.

Mega Man 1 I have beaten more than once. However I beat the game back when I could beat 2D Games with ease. If I attempted to play Mega Man 1 now, chances are I would suck at it, since I am more used to 3D nowdays.
I never attempted to play the real SMB 2. Maybe because I am one of the few gamers who never beat SMB 1.

I can beat Lost levels easily, whenever I want. Piece of cake. Just all about timing and screen manipulation.

I'm honestly surprised every time I see the original mega man come up in a hardest games thread. I never had any trouble with it. Compared to all the other mega man games I've played, it took me the least amount of time to beat.
Yellow devil wasn't too bad even without using the pause glitch.
The version of him in Mega Man X5 on the other hand...

I must concur on the Dallas ending. It was absolutely infuriating. At least it gave us the MOST awesome credits music ever.
