So yesterday I was chatting with some new freshman. I noticed that one of them was wearing a Michael Haneke related tee shirt. He is the director of the movie Funny Games. So I decide he'll be amused if I make a joke from the movie. The dialogue goes like this.
Me: "...alright, now here's an idea. What would you guys do if I said by 8oclock tomorrow both of you will be kapoot.
Freshman: "Kapoot?"
Me: "You know, dead?"
Freshman: "What, what do you mean?"
Me: "Well it's a game. I bet you that by 8AM tomorrow. Both of you will no longer be alive. You bet that by 8AM tomorrow both of you will still be alive.
Freshman: "........"
Freshman: What the smurf man? Are you crazy?"
Me: "...........hahaha...wait do you think I am serious?"
Freshman: "....you aren't?"
Me: "No, I am quoting a movie. Michael Haneke *points to tee shirt* the guy who is sort of featured on your shirt. Directed the movie."
Freshman: "....oh, um okay."
Oh those crazy Freshman. My rule of thumb. Don't wear a shirt unless you're ready for potential homicidal jokes.

Any time I see someone wearing a Ramone t-shirt, I ask them if they wanna sniff some glue.
No one's got it yet.

I remember a conversation with a freshman girl about a particular situation and I ended it with the passive, ".. ah well, what are ya gonna do?"
She acted all offended and said, "Wait.. what am *I* gonna do about it?"
... it took me about twenty minutes to explain that it was a figure of speech.
... longer if you count the time I spent telling her what "figure of speech" meant.

Freshmen are great. They're so susceptible. Elevator passes. The underground pool party. Sophomore locker inspections. I fell for every one of them.

If you're talking about high-school freshmen, then yea, f***in' with them was a fun time.
If you're talkin' about college freshmen...
[Jim Gaffigan's audience whisper] Hey, I'm a freshmen! [/JGAW]

Freshman confuse me. They seem to get dumber and dumber each year or they don't want to take the time to figure out the school and how we run things. Yeah, standing in the middle of the hall way while one of the teachers yell at you to get to class is a smart idea. Especially if you decide to stand right in front of me on my way to Senior Inq (a college class I can take during my senior year of high school). Then it's really smart.
Some freshmen are nice, but the rest drive me insane.
