Look fellas, I know the lot of us prefer our movies (and music) to be dark and mysterious, but how's about we let the sun (so to speak) shine on in and appreciate this 1996 Tom Hanks classic about the ficticious 1960's band The Wonders, who reach the top of the music charts with their infectcious, "That Thing You Do". This is one of my all-time favorite flicks and it's ridiculous how much of the dialogue I've retained (and continue to use in everyday conversation to this day) from it. Let's get your true thoughts here 'Crappers and let's appreciate That Thing You Do!

God, I love that movie. It's so absolutely awesome in just about every way.
Plus, Tom Hanks makes any and every movie 3830970 times better.
That's a fact.

No one loves this movie more than I do. The extended Tom Hanks cut does the film far more justice for character development. Saw it twice at the movie house, the second time I dragged my mom and she was impressed with it as well being about my age at the time it was set in.
5 stars is given if using some kind of rating system involving thumbs.

Great movie and great music.
So, what was really the deal with the bass player?

I've never watched it all the way through, which is strange considering how much I loved the parts I did see.
Such a catchy song, too.

It is a very good movie. I have not seen it for quite a while but I really enjoy it.

I'm a big fan of that movie.
I remember seeing it twice when it was in theaters.
Good times.

Great movie and great music. So, what was really the deal with the bass player? You mean T.B. Player? He was only a temporary solution anyways. They did not even bother learning his name (or at least they never used it even once).

One of my favorite movies, and certainly on my list of top 5 movies you could watch over and over again.
Am I the only one with the extended edition?

I also have the Extended Version.
It seemed like it was just a money-grab though. The scenes with Charlize Theron weren't really necessary (but appreciated) to the story and I could see why they got left off initially. And what was the deal with Mr. White? Was he gay? I did like the reunion interview (on the bonus features) with all the guys too.
What was your favorite cut off the soundtrack? I'm leaning towards All My Lonely Dreams or Dance With Me Tonight.

MOST ANNOYING SONG EVER.
we had to play this in the concert band in high school, and the drumming still haunts me to this day.

I liked this movie a lot ... all but the ending. I understand the two characters finally getting together, but man, what cheeseball dialogue. It was like Tom Hanks had two minutes until he had to turn in the script, and that's the best he could come up with.
