With the release of the likes of richards, Moore, Nunzio and Colin Delaney there is going to be a lot of pressure on Funaki and Val Venis.
So what does this mean for Squash matches? will we see less of them? Will more established midcard guys such as Chuck palumbo be relagated to job duty or have the wwe just realised that it is cheaper just to use local indie talent?

I think the E realizes belt-tightening is in order, and are taking a hard look at the roster and saying "Who is/is going to be a money-making star for us and who isn't?"
I'd rather more matches like the Hardy/Benjamin one being broadcast right now, than any more squash matches

Nah, Cabana's still employed. :-\ If they just turn Colt into a jobber, it will be the biggest waste of talent for years.

It may be the WWE shifting slightly towards an 80s style when it comes to squash matches. They might just bring in their developmental guys for the duties instead of paying guys who "people know" like Moore, Nunzio, and Richards a decent salary just to put people over.
I mean, I like Richards, Nunzio, and Moore, but when they were in a singles match, the crowd pretty much knew they weren't winning (Which made Stevie's mini-feud with Thorn nice to see). WWE can save money by using developmentals & indy guys though.
Who knows? They might just have realized those guys were still on the payroll.
Don't be surprised if middle-of-the-road wrestlers end up picking up where the fired guys left off. Poor Snitsky. He'll be "Undefeated" forever...

Difficult when you have 6 hours of programming to put out each week.

If you have this matches every week you get pretty bored of them quicker than you think, then you are left with no fresh matchus for the ppv. I'd rather the tv shows be mostly Jobber matches, Skits, promos and a main event. Save the competetive match ups for the PPVS.

No, the thing that makes the PPVs weak is the fact that they never blow off fueds and have them face each other ad-infinium. See Orton/HHH, Edge/Taker, etc

I'd imagine that Val Venis, Funaki, and Mike Knox are not answering their phones at this point.

I'm legit surprised they got rid of Cherry. It felt like she was getting over. Must not have fit the Jonny Ace mold

Nah, Cabana's still employed. :-\ I'm glad Cherry has been released, by the way. I know, when I got home and noticed Cherry's departure, I shouted 'whoo-hoo', alone, like Homer, I'm lame. Polumbo sucks, but could be an interesting regular jobber due to his size, so that'd be awesome.

Speaking of Pulumbo...I wouldn't know wether to laugh, cry or mark if he came out to "YOUUU LOOOK SOOOOOOOOO GOOD TO ME!" whenever he makes his Raw debut.

I think WWE can just hire indy Jobbers in each city, they would be happy to work for the E for one night. Fans are too smart to accept and care about superstars that lose every match for about 10 years.

Hell I still find it odd that Al Snow doesn't have a job with The E anymore. I seriously figured him, Val Venis, and Bob Holly would have jobs for life with the company.
