So back before he got injured and came back with the half mask and whatnot, Kane was able to wrestle and pull out moves that no one his size should have been able to. Out of nowhere standing dropkicks for example, and of course the infamous hurricanrana on Albert's fat ass.
But then he came back, practically half the size he was before, and also about half the wrestling ability and moves.
Has anyone else noticed this? I'm a huge Kane fan, and so have seen my fair share of his matches, and after he lost a lot of bulk, he seems to have lost a lot of his wrestling.
His matches nowadays are very formulaic, very rote. Very rarely much of any surprises. What happened?

If he can pop the crowd with a look, a voice, or a raise of the hand to signal a chokeslam, he doesn't need to be doing flying clotheslines onto the concrete anymore. That's my belief anyway. The guys is old and slowing down.

Most people will gradually over the years slow down, but Kane's change took pretty much half a year. It was so abrupt.

People still mark for the guy and react to him so he doesn't really have to go balls to the wall, when a simple act like attacking someone for no reason will do just fine.

He was smaller because he was alway from the gym so long recovering from surgery. I'm sure he got into the Gym enough to work out into some kind of ring shape but not as big as he was. Kane didn't loss that much. He still dropping kicking kinda of often. He was doing it all the time against Big Daddy V and Mark Henry a few months back. I think he did it recently on Raw. He only did that Curana that one time. Kane is at the point where he only has to do so much and still be over. Plus age does play a part.

Give him the same amount of Time off as Undertaker and HBK, and i think we'd see a rejuvenation of the big man we all love.

Honestly how long has Kane been a WWF/E employee? This guys been around forever. Its only natural that at **some** point hes going to start to slow down. All in all I still think hes one of the best big men in the company.

Glenn Jacobs has stated he is looking to retire while he has most of his health within the next couple of years. This could be why he won't do insane spots anymore.

But, he totally deserves it. In some aspects, he's always been a better worker than The Undertaker. Plus, he knows how to make rookies look good.

Not only that but hes been apart of waaay more bullshit angles than anyone else in the company. He's fought off evil twins, set people on fire, had sex with a dead corpse (allegedly) and currently tried to kill Rey Mysterio. Despite all of this he's still over with the fans. If anyone is a shoe-in for the WWE Hall of Fame ... its Kane ~Kyle

I didn't see this sudden degeneration of which you speak. He was no different in ring after coming back from the bicep tear. I'd say in the last two years there has maybe been some slow up, but that's natural with age and some nagging injuries. If always had the time off that a Taker or HBK have then this would be rectified.
