Pfft I could easily come up with over 100 guys I'd rather see in the WWE HOF before ol' Mick gets inducted. The guy sacrificed his body for his chosen art form well above and beyond the call of duty. Those who have worked with him claim that for all the beatings he gave himself, he never took liberties with his opponents' safety, and always protected them. He has main-evented numerous pay per views including SummerSlam and WrestleMania. On top of this, he's a 3 time former world champion. So I am curious; excluding those already inducted, what 100 guys would you like to see inducted before Mick Foley? Unless of course you were being sarcastic....

Foley is a legend and he will only benefit TNA.
I think it is the best thing for him as an individual.
f*** WWE if they can't find anything better for him than commentary.
Should be interesting to say the least.

Well, don't see Foley showing up at catering dinner parties that Vince puts on during Wrestlemania. Most likely you will see Foley at a Dairy Queen with Cornette getting some ice cream. What a shame too when you can be styling and profiling rather than sitting in a cheesey movie studio. Sorry dude but I think this is a little naive on your part and you've been misinformed. Vince McMahon will work with ANYBODY again if it will make him money. This is why Vince isn't a racist...he sees everyone in shades of green. But everyone else who "betrayed" Vince has returned at some point from Hogan, Nash and Hall to Sable and Eric Bischoff. And if you know your wrestling history, then you'll know that if Superstar Billy Graham can be forgiven and entered into the Hall of Fame after what he did to Vince and Pat Patterson in the early 90s, then ANYBODY can be forgiven. Macho Man is a rare exception, and his situation is still a mystery. But it's going to take a lot more than going to TNA for Vince to turn his back on a talent like Mick Foley.

If Vince "erased" angle and lesnar, then how come theyre on the rumble and summerslam anthologies? Why do they have michaels/angle II on the shawn michaels dvd?

He didn't erase anybody for smurfs sake. Why the f*** is he going to advertise and promote wrestlers who are appearing on a rival TV show and thus provide free advertising for their product? It's nothing to do with rivalrys, erasings or even the wrestling business itself. It's simply MARKETING and BUSINESS SENSE.
I think I need a vacation from this place, it's making my head hurt.

Should be interesting to say the least. C'mon, what's so bad with commentary? The commentator is central to the whole show in a way. It's a role that has endeared many stars to fans over the years. There's whole generations who best know the likes of Gorilla Monsoon and Jerry Lawler as commentators, despite their storied in-ring careers, long after they would have otherwise been forgotten. Commentator is a very prestigious role, especially for a former wrestler, as it is a way for them to remain a part of the product in a capacity where they can demonstrate their knowledge of the business, particularly their ability to tell a story. I think Foley did a good job, and would only have got better. It's a real shame that he didn't like it, and wants to go to TNA. If he wants to commentate, WWE would be the best place for that. If he wants to wrestle, WWE would be the best place for that. Whatever role he fills in TNA, he would be better off in WWE.

This is a very stupid topic.
Brock Lesnar's first UFC fight was actually promoted on WWE TV, if I recall correctly.
Kurt Angle has not been erased. Quite the contrary, he was actually discussed at length, in a complimentary manner, on Shawn Michaels' DVD.
The reference someone made about catering parties at WM was pretty dumb as well, as Kevin Nash was actually reported to have been in Vince's suite last year at Wrestlemania.
Anyone who is thinking that Mick Foley will suddenly cease to exist in the annals of WWE/WWF lore is either far too naive about how life works or has bought into the whole, "Vince is the anti-Christ," thing hook, line and sinker.

Bob Orton won a lot more than "1 match" and the reason Bruno isn't in is because he refuses to be inducted. Why must everyone in the world act like Bob Orton did nothing in his career when countless wrestlers have gone on record to say that he was one of the best in-ring workers they had ever seen? Possibly because he was before a lot of our times and isn't interesting enough to go back and dig stuff up on? I started watching right around WM V, making me "older" than a lot of people here, when Orton was no longer relevant to the WWF, and I've never had any interest in him whatsoever or anything he ever did that wasn't associated with Roddy Piper.

Yeah I think that's exactly what it is. I started watching a few months before WM III and even then he was nothing more than half of an ineffective tag team with Don Muracco. From that point on, I don't recall him having one truly relevant storyline. He and Muracco split up and had a short low profile feud (I think this is around the time he left the wwf so I'm not sure the feud was ever even played out properly.

If Randy Savage, someone who supposedly has a lot of bad blood with Vince McMahon can't get erased from WWE history (check out 24/7 if you have it), I think Foley will be fine.

The only person to be "erased" is Benoit, and I think that situation was slightly unique.

Foley has never burned his bridge in WWE, so when he's done in TNA with whatever he wants to do down there, he'll be back and go in the HOF just like everyone expects.

And the ratings will drop 0.2 for the final quarter when he returns. And it'll be so embarassing that I'll "mark hard" during his comeback. And..and...oh man, I can't do it.

Foley will be fine. He maybe won't get mentioned as much as in recent years during the duration of his stay with TNA, but it was like that during the MNWs when someone went to WCW as well. When he leaves TNA I'm fairly sure he'll be back in WWE in some capacity sometime in the future. He'll at the very LEAST get inducted into the Hall of Fame and make his usual once every few month cameos.
